In fact, many things taste best when they are freshly made, but the taste will deteriorate as they are stored for a long time. Noodle cakes can be steamed directly and eaten in a pot until soft; you can also put some oil in a pan and fry them. The taste is also very good and more fragrant.
The second type is rice dumplings. Kueh Pork is also a specialty here and is a must-have during the Chinese New Year. The ingredients of Kueh Pork include pork belly, green onions, water chestnuts, and eggs. First chop the pork belly, green onions, and water chestnuts and mix them together. Beat the eggs, then add some cornstarch, five-spice powder, and salt. After mixing them all, use bean curd film to coat them. The ingredients are wrapped and rolled up. Finally, the rolls of raw kueh meat are chopped into pieces and fried in a pan until golden brown.
When eating Kueh Pork, you can dip it in some orange oil, which tastes good. However, not everyone likes the taste of orange oil. It depends on personal taste.
