Yangzhou's economic level is considered to be at the middle level among the 13 prefecture-level cities in Jiangsu Province. The most economically developed areas in the province are of course Suzhou and Wuxi, followed by Changzhou, Nantong, then Nanjing, Zhenjiang, and Yangzhou.
I have always believed that Yangzhou is following the path of tourism economy, with less heavy industry and more light industry and tourism services.
This is also the reason why Yangzhou’s economic level cannot improve.
After all, Yangzhou has a population of more than 5 million. I personally believe that tourism and light industry alone cannot elevate the economy to the top level.
As for the environment, to be honest, you can't guarantee that every place will be the same as in the painting, nor can you guarantee that the more than 5 million citizens in Yangzhou are all polite people.
But at least most of them are good. Compared with cities with developed industries, the environment is obviously much better.
Some people may question Yangzhou's Habitat Environment Award, but even if Shanghai is actively preparing for the World Expo, you can't guarantee that everything will be spotless and everyone will be of good quality, right?
What I want to say is that a place, no matter how much the outside world praises it, will always have its own good and bad places.
