Tieji Road is located in the golden zone of Wuhan, the heart of the Second Ring Road, which connects Wuchang in front and Hankou in the back. It is an important transportation hub in Wuhan.

Wuchang is one of the three towns in Wuhan, located on the south bank of the Yangtze River, facing Hankou and Hanyang across the river. Locals used to refer to the urban area south of the Yangtze River in Wuhan as Wuchang, including Wuchang District, Qingshan District and Hongshan District.
