There are 4 positions left!

Chongzuo White-headed Langur Nature Reserve We first came to the White-headed Langur National Nature Reserve on the outskirts of Chongzuo. The most attractive thing here is that it may be the easiest place in China to see primate stars, national first-level protected animals.

It is a place where eco-tourism business operations are mature. You can easily see white-headed langurs in the wild without feeding food at all. This is definitely one of the few in China!

The status of the white-headed langur There are many kinds of monkeys in the world, but the status of the white-headed langur is very high because they: 1. A species unique to China and can only be seen in China.

2. It has a narrow distribution and only lives in the karst landform habitats in Chongzuo, Guangxi.

3. The number is rare, less than that of giant pandas, and it belongs to the critically endangered level (the third level in the endangered level, and the higher level is extinct in the wild, extinct. The giant panda is currently classified as vulnerable, two levels lower than it).

The white-headed langur is a primate endemic to Guangxi, my country. It is the only primate discovered and named by Chinese scholars.

Currently it is only distributed in the karst rock mountain area covering an area of ??about 200 square kilometers in Chongzuo City, Guangxi.

After entering the White-headed Langur Sanctuary, you can take a battery car for about ten minutes (you can also choose to hike a few hundred meters) to find the cliff where the White-headed Langur lives. Then you can wait patiently, watch and take photos.

Because the daily activity areas and behaviors of the monkeys are relatively fixed, they usually go out for food early in the morning, rest in the morning, may come to the pond to drink water at noon, continue foraging activities in the late afternoon, and return to the cliff to rest before dusk.

It is relatively easy to find their activity tracks, and the population size is stable. Once they start moving, it is difficult not to see them.

If you are lucky, the viewing and shooting distance is very close, and you can definitely take good photos.

There are four newborn babies in this monkey group this year. Like other langurs, the white-headed langurs are golden in color within half a year old, so if you go there at the end of April, you can still see the golden babies nestled in the arms of the mother monkeys.

Yellow baby, so cute!

Coming here to watch, photograph, and promote the white-headed langurs not only allows more people to learn about our country’s unique rare species, but also provides the best and most direct support for the ecological economy of the local reserve.

After watching the monkeys, you can also watch and photograph some rare birds in Nonggang.

The Nonggang area, less than an hour away from Chongzuo, is also a national nature reserve. Longhengtun, located outside the Nonggang National Nature Reserve, has become a gathering place for many birds due to its unique geographical advantages.

Large and concentrated, there are many star bird species, including Indochinese green magpie, white-browed brown woodpecker, long-tailed broadbill, blue-bearded night bee-eater, Longgang babbler, red-capped babbler, black-naped king flycatcher,

Brown-breasted Mountain Partridge, Golden-eyed Babbler, etc.
