Narwhals are good at diving because they like to eat halibut that lives in the deep sea.
Under the ice, narwhals can enjoy their delicious food, halibut, alone. Perhaps because of this, they start eating like crazy in winter. Narwhals like to live in groups, usually in groups of 5-2. They are docile and feed on fish.
The narwhal is 4-5 meters long and weighs 9-16 kilograms. Its belly is almost white, and its back is black, dotted with sparse blue-gray and black spots. In the way of reproduction, it belongs to one male and many females. Every year, when the ice and snow melt, hordes of narwhals begin to feed and play and mate in the sea.
However, the reproductive rate of narwhals is extremely low, and only one baby is born every three years. The pregnancy period is about 15 months and the lactation period is as long as 2 months. The newborn calf is about 1.6 meters long and weighs only 8 kilograms. When the lactation period expires, it will find its own way.
