When it comes to Yichun, some people may be unfamiliar with it. If you take your mind back to a slogan "Yichun, a city called spring" broadcast by CCTV more than ten years ago in 2010, you will certainly be flooded with thoughts and memories.
Yichun and Pingxiang are closely connected geographically. They belong to the same mountain and are called Wugong Mountain in Pingxiang and Mingyue Mountain in Yichun. It supports Su Shi's artistic conception of "looking across the landscape, it looks like a ridge and a peak on its side, with different heights from near and far".
When I came to Yichun, I received warm and thoughtful hospitality from Du Kangqiang, a fellow from Dongyang who came to Yichun in 2003.
After a quick tour of Yichun, my rough impression:
Yichun is a city with rich cultural heritage. It has a history of more than 2,200 years. Lu Zhao, the first number one scholar in Jiangxi Province, and Yi Zhong, the second number one scholar in Jiangxi Province, are both from Yichun.
Yichun is a livable and travelable city with beautiful scenery. The mountains are green, the water is clear, the sky is blue, and even the air is sweet.
Yichun is a city suitable for health and wellness. The hot springs are famous far and wide.
Based on the above, Yichun has successively won titles such as "China's Livable City", "China's Excellent Tourism City", and "National Forest City".
I climbed Wugong Mountain in Pingxiang, and naturally I had to climb Mingyue Mountain when I arrived in Yichun. It is located in the southwest of Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, only 15 kilometers away from the central city, with a total area of ??389.6 square kilometers. The core scenic spot of Mingyue Mountain is composed of 12 large and small peaks with an altitude of more than 1,000 meters. The main peak, Taiping Mountain, is 1,735.6 meters above sea level. Mingyue Mountain Scenic Area is known as the "natural oxygen bar", "natural animal and plant garden" and "geological museum".
Enter the Mingyue Mountain Scenic Area and hike in the deep bamboo jungle. The towering moso bamboos on both sides are like soldiers in line, welcoming tourists. Wandering in the green tunnel, what comes into view is the "Forest of Steles in Ode to the Moon" inscribed by Mr. Shen Peng. The biggest feature of these forest of steles is that they are inlaid on irregular rocks.
The cableway in Mingyue Mountain Scenic Area has a total length of 2,685 meters and a vertical height difference of 1,098 meters. It is the longest passenger cable car cableway in my country. And it’s also more humane. There are transfer stops along the way, allowing tourists to choose whether to continue taking the cable car or come down and hike.
After riding the ropeway to the top of the mountain in one breath, we started walking slowly on the Qingyun Plank Road. The Qingyun Plank Road has a great "precipice view" scenery. It is located at an altitude of 1,700 meters and has a total length of about 3,100 meters. It is shrouded in clouds and mist all year round. Walking on it, you will have the feeling of walking on the blue clouds. The suspended plank road stretches across the cliffs, like a dragon in the clouds. On the cliff, welcoming pines and various shrubs are dotted in various shapes. The unique Xingyue Cave, with its huge drop, winding and endless aftertaste.
Mingyue Lake on the top of Mingyue Mountain. A 50-meter-high dam and an artificial lake with a water surface of 1,050 acres and a total storage capacity of 18.2 million cubic meters are like a bright moon embedded in the mountains. This is Mingyue Lake. The water of the lake is clear and sparkling, like fine lines on silk; the shore is lush and lush with trees. The mountains are verdant and the water reflects the waves; the lake is beautiful because of the mountains, and the mountains are alive because of the lake; surrounded by mountains and water, the mountains and rivers are of the same color. As people circle around the lake, the scenery moves with them. There are scenery everywhere, which is dizzying for the eyes.
In the Mingyue Mountain Scenic Area, the "moon culture" is better explored. The aforementioned "Forest of Chanting Moon Steles" and "Mingyue Lake" are also available, as well as "Mingyue Echo", "Mingyue Zen Temple", "Mingyue Pagoda", "Xingyue Cave" and other attractions. No wonder the ancients once said in a poem: "The bright moon is everywhere, and the moon is the brightest in Yichun." Mingyue Mountain is one of the birthplaces of this strong moon culture. According to mythological epic records, Mingyue Mountain is the hometown of Chang'e and the place where Chang'e flew to the moon.
Mingyue Mountain, I will come again!
