Jingyan County, which belongs to Leshan City, Sichuan Province, is located in the southwest of Sichuan Basin. It is between 12 55 ′ ~ 14 ′ east longitude and 28 25 ′ ~ 29 55 ′ north latitude, with a total area of 84 square kilometers. Since the establishment of the county in the 11th year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (591), the county territory has been expanded for more than 6 years from Tang, Song to the early Yuan Dynasty.
Jingyan County belongs to the humid climate zone in the middle subtropical zone of Sichuan Basin, with warm and humid climate, rainy season and abundant rainfall. However, the distribution is uneven, there is no severe cold in winter, no heat in summer, a little lack of sunshine, four distinct seasons of hot and cold, and two distinct seasons of wet and dry. As of 218, Jingyan County has jurisdiction over 27 townships. According to the data of the seventh census, as of : on November 1, 22, the permanent population of Jingyan County was 28,641.
Topography
Jingyan County is low-lying, with an elevation of 38-45 meters, widely distributed hills and criss-crossing gullies. There are many shallow hills in the Mangxi River basin, and there are many deep hills in the northwest and east edges, and the composition of the hilly surface is relatively single. It is mainly Mesozoic red beds, soft and hard purplish red sandstone and mudstone, and a small amount of limestone, which are divided into four types according to morphology, namely deep hills, low mountains, medium hills and shallow hills.
Deep hills and low mountains are located in the northwest of Jingyan County, including Tianyun, Zhenyang and Wupao, and part of Shima, Zhoupo and Fenquan Township. It covers an area of 135 square kilometers, accounting for 15.7% of Jingyan County, with an altitude of 45-65 meters.
Zhongqiu covers Huangbo, Shengquan, Menkan, Donglin Township, Jin Feng and Jiyi, covering an area of 338 square kilometers, accounting for 39.3% of the total area. Shallow hills are distributed in most villages near the banks of Mangxi River, such as Yancheng, Mata, Zhuyuan and Yanjing, covering an area of 371.15 square kilometers, accounting for 43.1% of the total area. Pingba is mainly distributed on both sides of Mangxi River and its tributaries, covering an area of about 15 square kilometers, accounting for 1.78% of the total area.
