The new town is located in the east of Deqing County, and Wuzhen and Xitang are 3 kilometers to the east; 3 kilometers north, Nanxun and Zhouzhuang are in Tongli. The new town with a history of more than 1 years is also a typical water town in the south of the Yangtze River, with winding rivers and shops and houses built by the water, but its popularity is far less than that of Zhouzhuang and Wuzhen. Xinshi Ancient Town is one of the cradles of the ancient Silk Road and the hometown of silk. There are as many mulberry fields as rice fields, and the Silkworm Flower Festival is held every year.

For thousands of years, the sound of the oars has evoked many reverie of people along the river, but these can't be seen today. On both sides of the water street, the arcades built along the water in the past dynasties basically maintained the characteristics of the old streets in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Simple and elegant stone storehouse wall doors, exquisite brick-carved houses, unique bank up walls, stone embankment and river ports. In addition to enjoying the folk houses, you can also listen to a few social operas in front of Liuwang Temple, shuttle through the winding old lanes to touch the history, stroll around the Silk Road in the Silkworm Culture Center, or burn incense and make a wish at Juehai Temple, and eat mutton with yellow wine in a small restaurant.
