The pressure cooker is really a good tool for cooking~~ My own pressure cooker can be regarded as an antique. My parents bought it when they got married. Speaking of which, the quality of the things used to be good.
Okay, let’s get down to business. The biggest advantage of a pressure cooker is that it is fast and the food will be cooked more easily, which is convenient and time-saving.
In the past, when there were no rice cookers, my family used a pressure cooker to cook. I washed the rice, added water to the pot, and turned on the heat. When the air valve slowly started to rotate and the aroma of rice wafted out, I could turn off the heat.
I remember that aroma was one of my favorite smells in the past.
The next step is to cook porridge. It is very easy to use a pressure cooker to cook porridge. The ratio of water to rice is similar to that of usual porridge. However, if possible, I will add some water. I really like making it with a pressure cooker.
Porridge~~~especially rice soup is called rice and drink here.
Beat an egg, then pour in rice water while it's hot, sprinkle some sugar on it, it's super warm to drink in winter.
Besides rice, the most commonly cooked item is probably meat. Stewing meat is really convenient.
My mother cooks beer duck most often. The ingredients are as follows: beer, duck, dried chili pepper, soy sauce, sugar, salt, ginger, green onions. First, cut the duck meat into pieces and stir-fry until the duck meat changes color and becomes dry.
Add some soy sauce and sugar and stir-fry until it turns color.
Then pour the beer to cover about two-thirds of the way.
After the beer boils, skim off the foam, pour it into the pressure cooker, add onion knots, ginger, and dried chili peppers, cover the lid, turn on the gas valve and start turning for about 5 minutes, then turn to low heat and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Before turning off the heat, turn on the fire again until the gas valve rotates and then turn off the heat.
Just wait until the temperature drops and you can open the lid. In fact, many things that are not easy to cook can be cooked in a pressure cooker, such as mung bean soup, potatoes and beef, stewed pork trotters and ribs, etc.
You can try more.
But you must pay attention to safety when using a pressure cooker.
If it is an old-style open-fire pressure cooker like mine, there should not be too much food in the pot. People must turn off the heat immediately if they find that the release valve is clogged and leave the scene quickly.
