Shenzhen, also known as "Pengcheng", located on the east bank of the Pearl River Delta in the south of China, belongs to Guangdong Province of the People's Republic of China, the first special economic zone in China, a sub-provincial city, and a city with separate plans. It was formally established on August 26th, 198 with the approval of the State Council.
