II. Introduction to the Monkey Museum

The Monkey Museum in Lvxin Park is located in Lushan Wetland of Lvxin Park, with an area of about 2,5 square meters. It is an eco-brand park represented by macaques. There are 15 macaques, including 8 male macaques and 7 female macaques, including 2-5 years old.

The construction of the Monkey Museum has enriched the ecology of Lushan Wetland in Jiazhou Green Heart Park, and provided a comprehensive park with nature protection, public viewing, popular science teaching and research tourism for the general public and tourists.

III. Introduction of Macaca mulatta

Macaca mulatta is 51-63cm long, mainly characterized by short tail and cheek pouches. It mainly lives in rocky cliffs, ravines beside streams, dense forests on the banks of rivers or sparse rocky mountains, and mainly lives in groups, with more than ten or even hundreds. They feed on leaves, twigs, wild vegetables, birds, eggs, insects and other small animals. When they are in contact with each other, they will make various sounds or gestures, and grooming each other is also an important social activity.

When the monkeys are in collective action, a "sentry" will stand at a high place to keep watch. If any abnormal situation is found, it will send out a signal to call the monkeys to move quickly. If the situation is urgent, macaques will soon disappear without a trace by virtue of their skill in climbing cliffs and crossing dangers.
