University Road Community Neighborhood Committee was established in 1950s, and some sections of Huangxian Road and Longjiang Road and the whole section of hengshan road of the former Huangxian Road Neighborhood Committee were merged on 1999. In April of 20001year, Daxue Road Community Neighborhood Committee and Longhua Road Community Neighborhood Committee merged to form Daxue Road Community Neighborhood Committee. In August, 2004, the whole section of hengshan road, Huangxian Road and some sections of Longjiang Road were placed under Longjiang Road Neighborhood Committee, and the rest sections were merged with Longkou Road Neighborhood Committee, named Daxue Road Neighborhood Committee.
