Changting County, also known as "Tingzhou", referred to as "Ting", is affiliated to Longyan City and is located in the western mountainous area of ??Fujian Province , at the southern foot of Wuyi Mountain, borders Guangdong to the south and Jiangxi to the west. It is the border hub of Fujian and Jiangxi provinces. Counties were established in the Han Dynasty, and Tingzhou was established in the 24th year of Kaiyuan of the Tang Dynasty, becoming one of the five major states in Fujian. From the prosperous Tang Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty, Changting was the seat of state, county, road and government.

Changting is one of the eight Fujian provinces in Fujian Province. It is one of the representative cities where the Hakka people live.
