1. Huangqiao sesame seed cake.
Jiangyan shortcake is a traditional snack in Jiangyan, Taizhou, Jiangsu. The biggest feature of this dish is crispness. You can feel the crispness of the cake before eating it.
Jiangyan shortcake is to roll the pastry into a multi-layered cylinder, cut it into several sections, flatten it vertically, and roll it into a biscuit. A stuffing made of ham, diced bamboo shoots, diced chicken, shrimps, etc. is sandwiched between two pieces of cake blanks, and the edges are pinched and fried to maturity. It has rich layers, clear patterns, golden color, crisp taste and fragrance.
2. Taizhou dried silk.
There are two kinds of dried silk in Taizhou: boiled dried silk and scalded dried silk. The dried silk here is dried tofu shredding. Generally, dried silk is added with shredded ham, shredded bamboo shoots, shredded Tricholoma, shredded auricularia, etc. However, high-end hotels put shredded sea cucumber or shredded bird's nest together to make soup, which is very distinctive.
3, crab roe vermicelli.
This is made of crab roe and vermicelli. 4. Jingjiang preserved meat.
This is made of lean meat from pig hind legs, which is stripped of tendons and stumps, sliced into thin slices, marinated in wine, vinegar, salt and other seasonings overnight, cooked and tied with rope, and hung in a cool and dry place to dry.
