4. Houan mullet

Houan mullet has a slightly flat body length, a flat head, a protrusion at the front of the lower jaw, a depression in the center of the upper jaw and two dorsal fins. The small mullet is about 11 cm long and the big mullet is about 51 cm long. The mullet feeds on diatoms and other organisms attached to the mud surface. Houan mullet can be caught all year round, and autumn and winter are the peak seasons for mullet fishing.
