Chaozhou Chaozhou City is a prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province, located in eastern Guangdong. It is the political, economic and cultural center of eastern Guangdong.

There are two concepts about Chaozhou, one is Chaozhou in the concept of ethnic affiliation, and the other is Chaozhou in the existing administrative area, that is, Chaozhou City.

The ethnic Chaozhou refers to the counties under the Chaozhou Prefecture in history, which is what everyone now recognizes as the "Chaozhou ethnic line".
