Azerbaijan is a declining oil country. In history, the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan used to be a magical sea area that made the country's oil output comparable to that of Russia.

When we traveled around the Caucasus last month, we went to Azerbaijan for a short time, and we got to know something about it. Azerbaijan is the last stop of our three Caucasus countries, and its capital, Baku, is a city with perfect infrastructure but extremely low prices. Before we went to Azerbaijan, we went to Armenia. The two countries are bordered by each other because of territorial disputes, but the ports are impassable. We went to Azerbaijan via Georgia, and when we entered the country, we were very worried that we would be refused entry because there was an Armenian visa on our passport. It was not unheard of. But we managed to enter the country smoothly, after a short questioning.

Baku is a big city, some of which are as grandiose and atmospheric as all oil cities. The infrastructure of this city is relatively perfect, and the security of public transportation is also very strict. Every time we enter the subway, we have to open our carry-on luggage. As far as architectural style is concerned, Baku is unique and European. Several famous scenic spots are concentrated near the Icherisheher subway station, so it is easy to reach. But after visiting, I didn't leave a deep impression. It's like a shabby Abu Dhabi, with less expensive crowds and rows of luxury cars. It's cheap, but everything has to be aligned with local tyrants. The price is low, and the street food doughnuts and barbecue rolls can be seen everywhere, but the price of local currency is only a few cents (RMB is only three dollars, five dollars and eight dollars ...), which is slightly difficult to understand compared with the exceptionally luxurious city center. The declining oil country, Azerbaijan, we don't intend to stay here for a long time, but this city is actually very suitable for life. ?
