2. Tomb-Sweeping Day
Time: April 5, Gregorian calendar.
Introduction: In Chongqing, Tomb-Sweeping Day is also called Cold Food Festival. On this day, people will go to the suburbs for an outing, bring some snacks or drinks and go to the suburbs together. There is another thing people will do, and that is to fold willows. After going out for an outing or sweeping graves, if they meet willows on their way home or there are many willows where people live, people will fold willow branches into braids and wear them on their heads. In addition to folding willows, people also have a custom of inserting willows, that is, inserting folded willows into the soil, which is particularly easy to live in this season. Swing is also a custom in Tomb-Sweeping Day. Now it may be seen in some places, and now the swing has become an entertainment facility. Under normal circumstances, we can still see it in parks or some scenic spots or playgrounds.
3. Dragon Boat Festival
Time: the fifth day of the fifth lunar month
Lead: The Dragon Boat Festival on the fifth day of May is a very grand traditional festival in Chongqing. On this day, people have the custom of drinking realgar wine, inserting mugwort leaves, hanging calamus, eating zongzi and salted eggs. In some places, mugwort leaves and Aigen are hung in the middle of the lintel like tigers as "Ai Hu", and calamus is hung under the house as a sword. There are two traditional folk sayings about this. One theory is that in order to commemorate Qu Yuan, because the social productivity was low and the people were poor at that time, we had no money to buy silk and satin fabrics to make evocation flags, so we had to use local materials and replace them with mugwort leaves and calamus. Another saying is that drinking realgar wine and hanging mugwort leaves are to ward off evil spirits, kill viruses, prevent plagues and protect people's health.
4. Mid-Autumn Festival
Time: August 15th of the lunar calendar.
Introduction: Tujia people in Qianjiang area have large-scale sacrifices, prayers and celebrations from the third day of the first month to the fifteenth day of the first month every year, during which they have to dance with their hands. During the grand event, it was very lively. Hundreds of Tujia people in Fiona Fang, men wearing Xilankapu and women wearing gorgeous clothes, came in droves. In front of the wave hall, lanterns are decorated, and the wizard wears a hat with a crested feather and eight skirts around his waist, shaking a bronze bell knife with a hand and conducting while dancing. Three gunshots, drums and music sounded, people suddenly sang songs, and men and women danced all night. "There are thousands of lights, thousands of people are empty, and a song is lingering." Hand-waving dance originated from the ancient Bayu dance, and its movements include simple pendulum, double pendulum and rotary pendulum. It shows etiquette ceremony, labor scene or fighting action, with bright rhythm, beautiful dance and shocking original atmosphere.
5. Laba Festival
Time: the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month
Introduction: In the cold winter of1February, people will want to eat Laba porridge to warm their stomachs, but in Chongqing, they eat ice very willfully. According to the old man, the ice in Laba can cure all diseases. On the day before Laba, people usually scoop water in steel pots and freeze it. When the Laba Festival is over, they will remove the ice and break it. It is said that the ice on this day is magical, and it won't hurt your stomach after eating it for a year. Through this beautiful scene, the people of Zhuanghu wish the coming year a "good year with snow omen" and good luck. In the meantime, children have the habit of eating ice at this time. Eating ice in Laba is a traditional custom, so be careful not to eat too much.
6. Chongqing Ciqikou Temple Fair
Time: the first day of the first lunar month

Introduction: The custom of temple fairs has existed since ancient times. At present, the dates of temple fairs have been basically fixed as the first and fifteenth day of the lunar calendar, and there are other dates such as Sakyamuni's birthday, Guanyin Bodhisattva's birthday (February 19), Spring Festival and temporary decisions (such as releasing animals). Temple fair activities mainly include burning incense, worshipping Buddha, praying, chanting by monks or main temples, and vegetarianism. There were thousands of believers and many tourists at the first and fifteenth temple fairs of the Baolun Temple and Fenghuang Mountain Temple in Ciqikou.
7. Chongqing Dazu Baodingxiang Festival

Introduction: It is held in Baoding, Dazu from the middle of the first month to the beginning of March every year, with the largest number of people going up the mountain to worship Buddha on the first, fifteenth and nineteenth day of the second lunar month.
