Nowadays, more and more people call themselves “foodies”. The difference between foodies and ordinary people is that they not only love and can eat, but also know how to eat. We not only pursue the taste, but also care about the ingredients themselves.
However, while pursuing taste, some people always like to comment on other people’s taste buds at will.
01
As the saying goes, "Every carrot and cabbage has its own preferences." Your taste belongs only to you and can be shared, but you cannot force others to like it.
I heard a friend complain that she had a colleague who called himself a "foodie". One day, a few of them went to eat, and the colleague insisted on going to a restaurant that claimed that all the ingredients were "original." She and several other colleagues were unwilling to go because that hotel was much more expensive than other hotels.
In the end, the colleague left the message: "You just like to eat gutter oil!" and left angrily. Later, when they went to dinner, they never asked the colleague again.
Maybe you want to share delicious food with others out of good intentions, but if you don’t correct your mentality and force others to accept or like you, you will only be rejected and alienated in the end.
Therefore, you can share, but you must also accept other people’s tastes.

Just like a thousand people have a thousand Hamlets in their hearts, a thousand people have a thousand tastes and a thousand preferences.
My cousin also calls himself a "foodie". He especially likes eating crabs. Needless to say, a "foodie" will naturally be addicted to the delicious taste of hairy crabs. My cousin also likes to eat crabs, but what she likes is not the plump hairy crabs, but the meatless stir-fried spicy crabs.
In addition to the taste, my cousin cares more about the ingredients themselves, while my cousin only cares about the taste.
My cousin always says that my cousin has no sense of taste and doesn’t know how to eat. From belittling her sense of taste to belittling her lack of attention to health, it can even be extended to her poor living habits. The so-called "losing money to others" is probably like this.
Although hairy crab is delicious and nutritious, some people just think it is bland and tasteless, preferring spicy crab which is not nutritious and has a strong taste. Just like crayfish growing in sewage, doesn't it have an unshakable status?
The tongue is in everyone’s mouth, and there is no right or wrong sense of taste. So even if you are a foodie who knows how to eat, you cannot judge other people’s tastes at will.

Watching "Late Night Diner", there is a line in it: A person who doesn't even like food must be an untrustworthy person.
There are probably very few people who don’t like food, but everyone’s definition of food is different.
I often hear people say: "It is difficult for people who cannot eat together to live together." In fact, this may not be entirely true. Even people who have lived together under the same roof for decades may not have exactly the same taste.
You like to eat rice, I like to eat noodles. Today I will eat rice with you, and tomorrow you will eat noodles with me. Two people in one house, three meals for four seasons, this is not how a life should be lived. All that is needed is tolerance and respect.
Forcing others to accept your own taste, or belittling other people's taste, without respect and tolerance, conflicts will naturally arise.
Food is the most important thing for the people. Food is not just food, and taste is not just taste, it may also be mixed with a person's life. Sad or happy, good or bad, sweet or sour.
Respect other people’s tastes and respect other people’s lives.
