The delicacies in Jinchengjiang District include fried beef offal, tofu balls, roasted fragrant pigs, five-color rice and Mingshui Yixiao.
1. Stir-fried beef offal: beef, beef anal brain and beef louver are the main raw materials, which are cooked with strong fire. The taste is fresh, crisp and memorable.
2. Tofu Yuan: It is an indispensable local dish at festivals or wedding banquets. It is made of tofu, fish, peanuts and pork. It looks like an orange, symbolizing auspicious reunion.
3. Roast fragrant pigs: Select fragrant pigs of moderate size, slaughter them, remove hair and dirty meat, marinate them with seasoning for 50 minutes, make them into thick paste with soil, wrap them in high fire and burn them. When the crispy meat is cooked, take out the mud shell and apply sesame oil. The skin is crisp and tender, and the color, fragrance and taste are good.
4. Five-color rice: It is named because glutinous rice has five colors: black, red, yellow, white and purple. Every year on the third day of the third lunar month or in Tomb-Sweeping Day, people of all ethnic groups in Guangxi generally make five-color glutinous rice as a symbol of good luck and good harvest.
5. Mingshuixiao: It is fried with flour, peanut oil, candied dates, eggs and sugar as the main ingredients. It is named after its whole body cracking like teeth, sweet and delicious, crisp and mellow.
