Walking from south to north, to the Gujing Bridge next to Fengxi, you will know that the ancient town of nianbadu has arrived when you see the three characters "Nianbapu" on the archway standing high in the north of the bridge through the windshield.

But, why is it "Nian Ba Pu" on the archway? I guess, maybe it's because the word "nian" is easy to recognize, and this place is the most important commercial port in the waterway from the Northern Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, and there are many shops in the town, so "shop" highlights its prosperity.

The ancient town stretches along the north-south direction of Fengxi. At the southernmost end is a homestay called Nianbapu Inn. Go up to the third floor of the inn, open the wooden lattice window, overlooking the ancient town street, and then overlook it, which is Xianxialing.

The Millennium Ancient Road of Xianxia gradually became the main road for business travel in Qing Dynasty. Ships going up the Qiantang River loaded with cloth and daily necessities from Jiangsu and Zhejiang arrived at the dock in clear lake, Jiangshan, and then turned to land and were carried by porters to Fujian and Jiangxi.

Finally, they found out that "nianbadu Mandarin" was originally "Kanto dialect", and several young people could not help crying with joy because they found their hometown lost for hundreds of years outside the customs.

When I left the ancient town of nianbadu, I went to the town outside the ancient town, and all I heard was Mandarin. Grocery shops and fruit shops are no different from those in small towns in the south of the Yangtze River.
