nianbadu ancient town is a characteristic ancient town full of humanistic feelings, which retains the simple water town customs in the south of the Yangtze River. Here, you can feel the development and evolution history of classical southern towns, and many high-quality traditional folk cultural activities have been preserved to this day. Here, I will share with you the specific raiding guide.
After saying goodbye to my local classmates in Quzhou, Zhejiang, I drove more than 8 kilometers by myself and went straight to the ancient town of nianbadu at the junction of Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces.
In 878 AD, the Huang Chao Uprising Army attacked Fujian, opening an ancient road among the mountains here, and then the station troops and immigrants began here. In the Northern Song Dynasty, there were 44 capitals in southern Zhejiang, and this town ranked 28th. The local people called it "nianbadu".
The town is small, with three or four thousand residents and few tourists, especially in the afternoon. Walking from south to north, to the Gujing Bridge next to Fengxi, you will know that the ancient town of nianbadu has arrived when you see the three characters "Nianbapu" on the archway standing high in the north of the bridge through the windshield.
But, why is it "Nian Ba Pu" on the archway? I guess, maybe it's because the word "nian" is easy to recognize, and this place is the most important commercial port in the waterway from the Northern Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, and there are many shops in the town, so "shop" highlights its prosperity.
The ancient town stretches along the north-south direction of Fengxi. At the southernmost end is a homestay called Nianbapu Inn. Go up to the third floor of the inn, open the wooden lattice window, overlooking the ancient town street, and then overlook it, which is Xianxialing.
The Millennium Ancient Road of Xianxia gradually became the main road for business travel in Qing Dynasty. Ships going up the Qiantang River loaded with cloth and daily necessities from Jiangsu and Zhejiang arrived at the dock in clear lake, Jiangshan, and then turned to land and were carried by porters to Fujian and Jiangxi.
Native products from Fujian and Jiangxi will also be shipped to clear lake and transported to Jinjie, Shanghai and Hangzhou. Nianbadu, as the first stop for the transit of past goods and a necessary transportation hub, has quickly become the most prosperous commercial port on the border of the three provinces.
in its heyday, the whole street was covered with shops, restaurants and inns, and it was full of prosperity and excitement for hundreds of years.
nowadays, walking in the ancient town, there are not many old brands. A relatively depressed rice milling shop is changing hands. When you take a closer look, its authentic brand name is "Yangji Yicheng Grain Workshop", and its owner has more than enough flowers and is unable to take care of it.
In front of a handmade palm leaf shop with no font size, the owner is busy knitting in a dark room. Seeing me staring for a long time, he came out The sunshine in the street was strong, and he was a little uncomfortable, so he covered it with his hand. I quickly handed ten dollars into his hand.
he asked me what to buy, and I said I wouldn't buy anything. I'll let you have a rest because of your hard work. The old man insisted on giving me a small toy, but he refused several times before giving it up. The old man's name is Chai Fatian. He is over 7 years old. His ancestors also immigrated. Several generations have been engaged in brown weaving business. Now he can only be used as a tourist product. Few people buy it, and brown is not easy to collect. The business is very small. However, when it comes to craftsmanship, the old man is excited again, saying that his materials are good and sufficient, and he has a unique editing method. He also showed me the certificate of intangible cultural heritage protection issued by Jiangshan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Broadcasting.
at dinner time, I walked into the time-honored Longxing Zhai. I ordered three dishes: celery, dried bean curd, preserved bamboo shoots and pig's feet. The border town is sincere and each dish is full of weight. Sit down in front of the square table, also called half a catty of earth soju, and drink slowly. After dinner, the stars move in the frog sound, and the night is already deep. Staggering, walking alone in the alley of the ancient town of nianbadu: the alley is deep and long, with no doors and windows. I take the key and knock on the thick wall.
The next day, I got up and went to the breakfast shop next to Longxingzhai to have breakfast. Soymilk steamed stuffed bun noodles are very authentic. The breakfast shop is called "Xiao Xu Cuisine", and the natural shopkeeper is called Xiao Xu. She is a very quiet girl. There are no guests in the store yet, and my eyes sweep aimlessly on the drink rack.
I suddenly saw an oil painting bigger than a postcard, depicting roads in the mountains and wild flowers on the roadside. It was very delicate. I asked Xiao Xu: Did you draw this? She said that last year, a group of students from the north came here to sketch and paint oil paintings, lived for more than half a month, and came to the store for breakfast every day, which was given by one of the students when he left.
When I came out of Xiaoxu Food Store and walked to the side of Fengxi, I saw the windmill jasmine blooming quietly, with five white flowers spinning in the wind and emitting a faint fragrance.
Due to its special geographical location and frequent wars, stationing troops and emigration in history, nianbadu has become a "dialect kingdom" and a veritable "ancient town of people", with 9 dialects and more than 13 surnames. It is said that when several young people in the town stayed in Dandong, Liaoning Province, they found that the local people's language was almost the same as nianbadu's Mandarin. Finally, they found out that "nianbadu Mandarin" was originally "Kanto dialect", and several young people could not help crying with joy because they found their hometown lost for hundreds of years outside the customs.
When I left the ancient town of nianbadu, I went to the town outside the ancient town, and all I heard was Mandarin. Grocery shops and fruit shops are no different from those in small towns in the south of the Yangtze River. While driving away from the ancient town of nianbadu, my heart is getting closer and closer to the ancient town of nianbadu.
