Ingredients for eating Eight-treasure Rice: Handmade red bean paste, boiled and drained red beans, 250g white sugar, 80g lard, 50g glutinous rice, 600g red dates, appropriate amount of walnut kernels, appropriate amount of melon seeds, appropriate amount of lotus seeds, appropriate amount of raisins, appropriate amount of kumquat sugar, appropriate amount of Eight-treasure Rice.
11. It is customary to make red bean paste first. Put the boiled and drained red beans, white sugar and lard into a non-stick pan and heat over medium heat until the lard melts.
Note: If you buy ready-made directly, you can skip this step.
Step 22. Stir constantly with a spatula and repeat this action for about 15 minutes.
Step 33. Wait until the water is basically consumed, and then poke it with your finger until the bean paste does not stick to your hands.
Step 44. Steam the glutinous rice into glutinous rice.
Step 55. Prepare various nuts: red dates, walnuts, melon seeds, raisins, etc. You can put whatever you like.
Step 66. Cover the bowl with a layer of plastic wrap, spread the nuts, and arrange them as nicely as possible.
Note: We are not used to smearing lard on the bottom of the bowl, so we used plastic wrap, which has a fresher taste but lacks the aroma of lard.
Step 77. Spread glutinous rice.
Step 88. Just cover it completely, and then dig a groove in the middle.
Step 99. Fill with bean paste filling.
Step 1010. Spread another layer of glutinous rice.
Step 1111. Tighten it with plastic wrap, then turn it upside down and tear off the plastic wrap.
Step 1212. Because the ingredients are all cooked, steam them for 10 minutes and then you can eat them.
