Introduction
Lamma Island was called "Liaobo Island" in ancient times. It used to be a place where foreign ships docked in Guangzhou for trade during the Tang and Song Dynasties, and was later refined into "Liaobo Island". As the island is located in the south of Hong Kong, it looks like the Chinese character for "Ya", so it was named "Lamma Island" and gradually replaced "Boliaozhou".

Lamma Island was originally a remote fishing village and was originally called the hometown of Chow Yun Fat. Main attractions
Rong Shu Bay: Located in the northwest of Lamma Island, it is the largest village on the island. You can sign up here to visit the fishermen's cultural village in Lamma Island and experience the traditional fishermen's customs in the sea. Soko Bay has a pleasant scenery, and there is also a hiking trail connecting Hung Shing Yeh Bay, Le Jia Trail. This hiking route has a vast and beautiful scenery, and the end point is the Tianhou Palace in Stephanie Sokolinsky Bay. It takes about 5 minutes to walk.
Deep Bay: A deep bay in the south of Lamma Island, facing the South China Sea. This is the spawning ground of wild green turtles, and people are forbidden to enter the destruction during the breeding season of green turtles from June 1 to October 31 every year.
