1. Chicken pie
Chicken cake is a famous snack in Guangzhou. I grew up with snacks. The condiments inside are pork, melon seeds, sesame seeds, lotus root starch and so on. The fat is moderate and slightly fleshy, slightly sweet and salty, sweet and crisp, and it won't be very greasy to eat. It's best with Pu 'er tea.
2. Light shortbread
Light shortbread is a variety of Xiqiao school and a traditional Lingnan cuisine. We used to eat a brand called Hongshida, and now some tea restaurants are also making it. Traditional shortbread tastes soft and flawless, so it avoids grease, and contains eggs and milk, which is rich in nutrition and is a very healthy traditional cake. Suitable for afternoon tea or breakfast with soy milk.
3. Beef brisket crisp
When I was writing this, I suddenly sent me a micro-message saying that I would go to sweet food to eat beef brisket at night, hahaha, but in fact, I don't think it's easy to bring beef brisket as a handwritten letter, because it's just fried and the best. But coming to Guangzhou is a special feature, so I wrote it down together. In addition to fried dough sticks, there is also a snack in Guangdong called Niu Zusu, which looks like a cow's tongue as the name suggests. In Cantonese, "tongue" means "fat". The method of making beef foot crisp is similar to that of fried dough sticks, but it is made by mixing flour and sugar.
4. Yushan brand sausage/bacon
When it comes to Cantonese sausage/bacon, everyone will definitely think of Likoufu or Guangzhou restaurant, but personally, the best one is Yushan brand in Panyu, which has a unique meat flavor in sweetness, and the meat selected is moderately fat and thin, which is delicious for people who don't like bacon very much. Of course, Cantonese bacon is sweet, and people who are not used to it may think it is not delicious, but I brought it to several friends from other provinces, and most of them are acceptable.
5. Salted egg crisp and HongLing crisp
Compared with the famous couple cakes and old woman cakes, I prefer salted egg cakes and HongLing cakes. When I was a child, I ate salted egg crisp and HongLing crisp from Hong Kong Ronghua Bakery, which I still remember. From then on, I will buy it every time I go to Hong Kong. Some teahouses in Guangzhou also do it, but I don't know why it always feels almost tasteless. It was not until August this year that the bakery in Ronghua Building in Liwan reopened after 70 years that I could taste the taste of childhood in Guangzhou. The crispy skin of salted eggs is crisp, and the salted yolk melts in the mouth. There are red beans in HongLing shortbread, and the red bean paste is cooked just right. Soft, fragrant and sweet, a bite is absolutely satisfying.
Husband's cake and wife's cake
I don't need to introduce this. It seems that I heard that they are also sold outside the province, but the standards of each product are not the same. I used to buy it often, but now I eat less. But it's still worth a try to come to Guangdong.
7. Likoufu Egg Roll
As a handwritten letter, this omelet is quite satisfactory and won't step on thunder. Basically everyone can accept it. Individuals who eat so much food feel that Likoufu is better, and it is a good choice as afternoon tea to satisfy their hunger. In addition, gift boxes are also good gifts.
8.almond cake
The two most famous places for almond cakes are Zhongshan and Macau, and the brand that is heard more frequently in Guangdong is Zui Xiang Garden. Its main raw material is mung bean powder. Because it looks like almonds, it is called almond cake, and then it develops into a round cake, which is what we see now. Almond cake is different from ordinary fried snacks, and its taste is slightly light, which is suitable for friends who don't like too sweet.
