Chrysanthemum stone carving is a unique handicraft in Liuyang county, carved with chrysanthemum stone generated more than 200 million years ago. It is understood that up to now, only Liuyang produces this kind of natural stone in the world, so Liuyang chrysanthemum stone carving is known as the first in the world. Like chrysanthemum, this kind of stone can be divided into mononuclear, binuclear, trinuclear and seedless, and it is similar to bamboo leaf chrysanthemum, hydrangea nightshade chrysanthemum, cattail leaf chrysanthemum and money chrysanthemum. Sculptors use these characteristics of chrysanthemum stone to carve, arrange petals, add branches and leaves, and embossment into clusters of chrysanthemums.
Liuyang Douchi is a local specialty of Liuyang County. It is made of mud beans and small black beans through fine processing. The finished lobster sauce is dark brown or sauce red, with wrinkled skin and dried meat, soft texture and full particles.
