Jackson Wang was born in Hong Kong, China. When he was 10 years old, he first came into contact with fencing in an elementary school interest class and fell in love with fencing.
Because his father is the head coach of the Hong Kong fencing team, he was influenced a lot and like his father, he chose fencing as a specialty.
At the age of 12, he participated in the National Games and won his first fencing gold medal.
At the age of 17, he won the individual saber gold medal in the men's 17-year-old Asian Youth Championship. In his personal sports career, he won three Asian championships, three national championships, and nine international and Hong Kong championships.
In 2010, Wang Jiaer passed the audition organized by JYP in Hong Kong.
In 2011, he went to South Korea to become a trainee and spent two and a half years as a trainee. For the sake of his music dream, he not only gave up participating in the London Olympics, but also gave up his admission to the University of Hong Kong and Stanford University.
