Both lose and lose
Once upon a time there were two people, one was named Guan Zhuangzi and the other was Guan Yu. One time when they were hunting, they saw two tigers fighting over human flesh. Guan Zhuangzi couldn't wait to kill the two tigers. Guan Yu immediately stopped him and said, "Tigers like to eat human flesh very much. Human flesh can be said to be the best." Now the two tigers are vying to eat human flesh, and they will definitely fight to the death. The weaker one will definitely be beaten to death by the stronger one. In the end, the stronger one will be scarred. By that time, we can kill both tigers without any effort. Isn’t this a double benefit for doing one thing?” Sure enough, the two men caught the two tigers easily. .
Learning to walk in Handan
It is said that the people in Handan, the capital of Zhao State, have a beautiful walking posture and their movements are very elegant and brisk. When a young man from the State of Yan heard this legend, he was very envious of the Handan people, so he walked a long way to the State of Zhao to learn how the Handan people walked.
At first, he stood on the street all day long, carefully studying everyone's walking posture, and then slowly imitating them, but with no success. Later, he thought it might be influenced by his past walking habits, so he decided to forget his previous walking method. From that time on, he concentrated more on studying the walking posture of Handan people. However, no matter how hard he tried, he still couldn't learn it, and finally he had to give up.
However, because he had completely forgotten how to walk before, he no longer knew how to walk, so he had to crawl all the way back. When others saw his appearance, they couldn't help but laugh at him.

After hearing about it, King Qin Zhaoxiang wanted to take it for himself, so he sent people to Zhao. , told King Zhao that Qin was willing to exchange fifteen cities for this jade with Zhao. King Zhao was very reluctant to give up, but because Zhao was very weak, he did not dare to offend King Qin, fearing that King Qin would send troops to attack Zhao if he was unhappy. King Zhao was very troubled about this matter.
After the minister Lin Xiangru learned about this, he volunteered to go to Qin with He's Bi. He knew that although the King of Qin liked this jade, he actually did not want to exchange it with fifteen cities. After arriving in Qin, Lin Xiangru held He's Bi and loudly said to the King of Qin: "If your Majesty, regardless of your credibility, wants to steal this jade from me, I will hit a pillar in the palace. I believe the jade will be shattered." !" Although King Qin was very angry after hearing this, he was afraid that he would really hit the pillar and break the jade, so he did not dare to act rashly at all. Later, when King Qin was not paying attention, Lin Xiangru sent someone to send He's Bi back overnight. Although the King of Qin was angry, he knew that he was not honest enough and was afraid that it would become a laughing stock, so he had to let Lin Xiangru go.
Li Ling Zhi Fa
During the Warring States Period, wars were often launched among various vassal states to compete for land. The Qin State sent general Bai Qi to attack South Korea and occupied a piece of land in South Korea. There was another land near Yewang, Shangdang. Their local officials saw that Yewang was easily captured by the Qin army and were afraid that Shangdang could not hold it, so they wrote to the State of Zhao, expressing their willingness to surrender and hoping to win the State of Zhao. of asylum.
The monarchs and ministers of Zhao State had different opinions on whether to accept Shangdang's submission, and everyone started a fierce debate. Lord Pingyang objected: "It's just because we can get the benefits without spending any effort and we can take it easily." , I'm afraid it will cause disaster." King Zhao didn't want to lose this piece of fat, so he supported Lord Pingyuan's idea and sent him to take over Shangdang and classify it as the territory of Zhao State. After Qin knew about it, he thought that Zhao was deliberately against him, so he ordered Bai Qi to lead an army to attack Zhao. As a result, all Zhao's 400,000-strong army was annihilated by the Qin army, and the capital Handan was also besieged. Later, Lord Pingyuan took Mao Sui to Chu and persuaded the King of Chu to join Zhao to fight against Qin. Finally, Chu sent troops to lift the siege of Handan by Zhao.

Beware of micro-duties
During the Eastern Han Dynasty and Emperor He's reign, Empress Dowager Dou personally visited the government, and Dou Xian, the empress dowager's brother, held power. Officials scrambled to please her, so the political situation was in chaos. The Dou family is running rampant in the countryside, preying on the common people, and no one dares to expose their evil deeds. Ding Hong, the Situ (equivalent to Prime Minister) at that time, took advantage of the opportunity of the solar eclipse to secretly report to Emperor He: "The sun is the symbol of the king, and the moonlight represents the ministers." The appearance of a solar eclipse is a symbol of the ministers usurping the king's power. Your Majesty must be careful. According to historical records, there were thirty-six solar eclipses, and thirty-two people of the king were killed by his ministers, all because the ministers had too much power! ” He accused Dou Xian of taking advantage of the power of the Queen Mother to dominate the government and act arbitrarily, which even the emperor did not look down upon. Then he said: "The appearance of the solar eclipse is God's warning to us, and we should pay attention to the occurrence of disasters that endanger the country." The water that breaks through the rocks is just a trickle at first, and the big trees that grow to the sky are also grown from the young trees that have just revealed their buds. People often overlook small things, which can lead to disaster. If your Majesty can personally handle the affairs of the state, start from small areas, and eliminate disasters when they are still in their infancy, then the Han Dynasty can be stabilized and the country and the people can be peaceful. ’”
Emperor He of the Han Dynasty followed Ding Hong’s suggestion and removed Dou Xian from his official position to reduce the power of the Dou family. After the imperial court eliminated hidden dangers, the country's situation began to improve.
