Yes Xuzhou, referred to as "Xu" for short, was called Pengcheng in ancient times. It is a prefecture-level city and sub-central city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province. It is a national historical and cultural city and a national comprehensive transportation hub approved by the State Council. There is a zoo in Yunlong Campus of Xuzhou, which is the second largest zoo in Jiangsu, so there is one. Zoo is a place for collecting and raising all kinds of animals, conducting scientific research and ex-situ conservation, for public viewing, and conducting scientific popularization, publicity and protection education.
