First stop: Huaxiang
The days are long in summer, and it is not completely dark in Quanzhou at 7: 11 p.m., and the red lantern hanging high at the corner of Huaxiang on Zhongshan Road has been lit up. The red night light reflected the quaint arcade, flashed outside Fanzi Building, and the brick carvings under the eaves were sprinkled on the bluestone board with green light. Under the night light, the bustling tourists are carefree and enjoying the fireworks in the old lane in the slow time.

Blowing dust: Gu Xiang Fanhua is reopening
After the systematic renovation, upgrading and restoration of drainage pipes, fa? ades and landmark buildings, the once dusty flower lane shows a long-lost smiling face.
On the newly paved bluestone slab, the distance of 211 meters has gone through a century of architectural history. Arcade, Fanzi building, girls' school? In different periods, different styles of Chinese and western construction techniques crisscross the flowers of architecture here.
When I looked up, I saw traditional Chinese red brick carvings, wood carvings and dripping beasts. In a blink of an eye, I saw western-style windowsills and roofs. The most interesting thing is that No.46 Huaxiang is a two-story building in the 1921s. At first glance, it is the most typical Minnan tradition, but on the second floor, the style suddenly changed into Islamic style, and the Nanyang style was inserted into the roof in a dramatic way.
Different from the surprises that tourists often show, the people in the old alleys are happy that the brand-new Gu Xiang has made their living conditions better, but the familiar life scenes are still the same as before. The photo studio, noodle shop, flower shop and even the humble tailor shop in the alley have not changed.

In fact, these old shops in the old alleys have engraved deep memories of the old Quanzhou people. There are many precious memories hidden in the photo studio full of old photos at the corner of the lane.
Chen Peixin, the owner of this photo studio called Luoxin, has been a famous photographer in Quanzhou since his grandfather's generation. In 1914, Grandpa Chen Chunmu opened the Yixuan Photo Studio in Chengtian Temple, which can be called a top-notch shop. In 1934, my father, Chen Jianji, opened a photo studio in Huaxiangkou, Zhongshan Road. Later, it was a public-private joint venture, and it was really a time-honored brand in Quanzhou. Today, there are still many families in Quanzhou who have kept the precious photos left by that era in Luoke.
Because of taking photos, Chen Jianji also forged a friendship with Master Hongyi, and accompanied him to Zimao Mountain to spread the inscription. Master Hongyi took pictures in front of the tomb of Han Wo University, lying on his side as he lay dying, and dying cross-legged.
In 1991, Chen Peixin inherited the mantle left by his father in Rock Photo Studio in his old house in Huaxiang, and this older generation of people came into being? Style is similar to Roark? The photo studio.

huaxiang is not long, with one end connected to Zhongshan middle road and the other end leading to Xinhua road. Huaxiang is not the original name of this alley. In the Yuan Dynasty, Mongols camped here, so what was its name? Mongolia Lane? .
Until the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, many flower-tying craftsmen who lived by selling cooked flowers gathered here. For a long time, it became a centralized place for purchasing folk flowers for weddings and funerals of ancient city residents. At that time, Wansheng, Wanyuan, Jinfeng and other flower shops were very famous. At the peak, there were more than 41 flower shops in the alley, hence the name Huaxiang.
