It's quite sad. What were the real causes of death of Xi Shi and Zheng Dan? Was it also killed by Gou Jian?

Xi Shi is the end of life or death, and there have always been different opinions. To sum up, there are generally four versions.

1. Shen Hai (Lake) said

Legend has it that after Gou Jian destroyed Wu, his wife secretly asked someone to cheat Xi Shi out, tied a stone to Xi Shi, and then sank into the sea. What's more, it is said that there is a kind of tongue-like writing in the sediment along the coast. Everyone says that it is Xi Shi's

picture appreciation tongue of Xi Shi (2 pieces), so it is called "Xi Shi Tongue". When Yu Dafu, a famous writer, was in Fujian in the 193s, he also praised Changle's "Xishi Tongue" as the best sacred product in Fujian cuisine. The article "Mozi's Family" mentioned that Xi Shi was so beautiful that he was sunk into the river, which shows that "it is too prosperous to keep" cloud. The reason for the "sinking into the sea" is: in the article "Mozi's relatives", it is said: "It is the death of the enemy, and its resistance is also; Meng Ben's killing is brave; The beauty of beauty lies in the beauty of beauty. The split of Wuqi is also a matter. " Among them, "Shen" of "Shen of Xi Shi" means "Shen" in ancient times. Xi Shi was submerged in the water, and she died because of her beauty. Zhao Ye in the Eastern Han Dynasty said in "Wu Yue Chun Qiu Yi Pian": "The more you float the west, the more you apply it to the river, and you will end up with the barbarians." "Xiu Wen Yu Lan" quoted the record of Xi Shi in Wu Yue Chun Qiu, saying: "After the death of Wu, the more he floated to the river, the more he died." Yang Shen's Complete Works of Taishi Shengan in Ming Dynasty, Volume 68, Fan Li's Beauty, and The Spring and Autumn Period of Wu and Yue cited in Xiuwen Yulan? The article Yi Pian also says: "When the king of Wu is defeated, the more he floats on the west and applies it to the river, the more he dies with the barbarians." The word "floating" here also means "sinking".

In many poems of literati, there are also many descriptions of Xi Shi's death by sinking into the river. Li Shangyin once wrote a quatrain in Jingyang Well: "The Jingyang Palace Well is sad, and there is no end to the swearing-in period; The water outside the Wu Palace is heartbroken, and the muddy mud is still buried in Xi Shi. " Another poet, Pi Rixiu, also has a poem entitled "Looking Back at the Ancient Palace". The fifth poem is: "A golden step in the corridor, picking Kirara's body on the Apple Mountain; I don't know where the water burial is today, and the creek and the moon are bent to work. " There is another saying: Gou Jian, the king of Yue, was also confused by the beauty of Xi Shi and wanted to take her as his wife. However, Fan Li, the minister, thought that Gou Jian should not repeat the mistakes of Fu Cha, the king of Wu, for fear that the king of Yue would lose his fighting spirit, so he took a boat with Xi Shi to the center of the lake and drowned him. Whether it's sinking into the sea or the lake, the ending of Xi Shi can't help but sigh: a beautiful woman's life is thin.

2. The theory of seclusion

This statement is also very popular. It was first seen in Yue Jue Shu written by Yuan Kang in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is recorded in it that "after the death of Wu, Xi Shi returned to Fan Li and went away with the five lakes". In the Ming Dynasty, there was a similar statement in Hu Yinglin's "Little Room and Pen Cluster" that Xi Shi was originally Fan Li's lover or wife. After the fall of the State of Wu, Fan Li lived in seclusion with Xi Shi. In the Ming Dynasty, Chen Yaowen's Zheng Yang (Volume II) and Xi Shi also quoted Yue Jueshu as saying that Xi Shi followed Fan Li in seclusion. The reason for "seclusion" is Yuan Kang's "Yue Jue Shu" in the Eastern Han Dynasty, which records that "Yue is to decorate beauty Xi Shi and Zheng Dan, so that doctors can give them to the king of Wu. Wu Wang Dayue. " This is similar to Wu Yue Chun Qiu, but it has a different ending. It is believed that "after Xi Shi's death in Wu, he returned to Fan Li and went to the five lakes together." There are many descriptions of Xi Shi and Fan Li's seclusion in ancient poems. For example, Li Bai's poem "Xi Shi" wrote: "Once Fu Cha is broken, it will never be returned." Su Shi also wrote in the poem "Shui Long Yin": "The five lakes heard that the boat went home and still took Xizi." There is a saying in Du Mu's Poems of Du Niang: "Xizi went to Gusu, and he chased the barbarians one by one." "Ci Hai" (revised edition) also said: "Xi Shi is a western son. At the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, the Yue people were presented to Fu Cha, the king of Wu, by Gou Jian, the king of Yue, and became Fu Cha's favorite concubine. Legend has it that after Wu died, he entered the five lakes with Fan Li. " Wu Yue Chun Qiu and Yue Jue Shu are contemporary works, but they are also different in recording the ending of Xi Shi, which is the beginning of different versions of Xi Shi's ending. As for the different opinions about the ending of Xi Shi in the ancient poems of the past dynasties, they are all based on this. The author thinks that to determine which is more reasonable, the earlier works must be consulted, and the key lies in how to understand two concepts: one is the understanding of "Xi Shi" in Mozi, and the other is the understanding of "Yi Yi".

the first is the understanding of "beauty". "Shen Hai Shuo" holds that Mozi, which is earlier than Wu Yue Chun Qiu and Yue Jue Shu, clearly says "Shen Xi Shi". Judging from the age of Mozi, he was born in about 468 BC and died in the first 376 years, while the more Wu was destroyed in 473 BC, Mozi was just a little late. Mozi was born and grew up at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, that is, at the end of wuyue's story. He was also a native of Lu, who was close to wuyue, or heard or witnessed the heroic drama of wuyue's story, so he was the most authoritative witness. His record should be the closest to the historical truth. However, the author thinks that Xi Shi in Mozi is a well-known beauty in the pre-Qin period, not only mentioned in Mozi, but also mentioned in Zhuangzi, Mencius, Everything is done wrong and Guanzi. Therefore, it is concluded that Xi Shi is different from Xi Shi when wuyue was fighting for hegemony (for details, please refer to the Textual Research on Xi Shi). "Pro-Scholars" wrote: "It's the same as doing things, and it's also resistant. Meng Ben's killing was brave. The beauty of beauty lies in the beauty of beauty. The split of Wuqi is also a matter. " Among them, Bigan, Meng Ben and Wu Qi are all recorded in Sima Qian's Historical Records, so it can be concluded that there are people in history, and it is inferred that Xi Shi should also be a real person. However, when Sima Qian wrote about the people and things related to wuyue's hegemony, he did not mention Xi Shi at all, which proves that Xi Shi mentioned in Mozi is not the beauty of wuyue's hegemony. The second is the understanding of "Yi Yi". What does "Yi Yi" mean? "Yi Yi" originally refers to a bird-shaped wine container made of bronze in Xia and Shang Dynasties. In the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, leather bags were used to hold wine, but they were still called "Yi". Li Shihong, a Qing dynasty, recorded in Notes of Renshutang: "Between Qin and Gong, people cut cattle and sheep off their heads, gouged out the meat in the air as a leather bag, and the big one suffered a stone, while the small one suffered two or three fights, which is called chaos, that is, the ancient yi." So Yi means a leather bag made of a whole piece of cattle and sheep skin. "Sinking the Sea" means that "the more the western beauty floats on the river, the more it dies with the barbarians". After the demise of the State of Wu, the King of Yue put the western beauty in a leather bag and sank into the river. And continue to quote "Wu Yue Chun Qiu? It is recorded in the biography of Fu Cha: "The King of Wu took Zixu's corpse and threw it into the river with a weapon to protect foreigners." The "Yi Yi" in this passage is the pronoun of Wu Zixu. After Wu Zixu's death, he was thrown into the river in an instrument of Yi Yi. According to this understanding, the extension of Xi Shi was presented to the King of Wu by the King of Yue. After the death of Wu, the King of Yue sank Xi Shi into the river and went with Wu Zixu instead of boating with Fan Li. However, the author still thinks that "Wu Yue Chun Qiu" is unofficial history, and what it records is not the truth of history. This is not credible. It is worth mentioning that the "Yi Yi" here, Du Mu thinks that it is not a leather bag explanation, but refers to Fan Li, because "Historical Records? Goujian Family, the King of Yue, said that after Fan Li died in Wu, he "floated out of the sea and changed his name, calling himself Yi Zi Pi". The author thinks that it is established to use "Liyi" as a substitute for Fan Li, because Fan Li lives in seclusion, trying to hide his name and not let the King of Yue kill him. It is impossible for him to take such an eye-catching name as "Liyi" which is associated with the death of Xi Shi and Wu Zixu.

3. Falling into the water says

Perhaps people who are kind don't want Xi Shi, an innocent and weak woman, to have a tragic ending, so they find out the poem "Huansha" by Song Zhiwen, a poet in the early Tang Dynasty: "Once you return to the old capital, you can find a beautiful makeup; On the basis of "birds are surprisingly relaxed, fish are heavy and afraid of lotus flowers", it is believed that Xi Shi returned to his hometown after the death of Wu, and accidentally fell into the water and died when he was washing gauze. This seems to be the most ideal, but it lacks the most evidence.

4. The saying of being killed

can be said to be purely from legend. Legend has it that when the king of Wu committed suicide and died, the Wu people vented their anger on Xi Shi, wrapped her in brocade and sank in the heart of the Yangtze River. According to Dongpo's Records of Foreign Bodies: "There are mermaids in the Yangtze River, also known as Xishi fish. The number of them in a day is easy to change, and the meat is delicious. If women eat it, it can increase their charm. According to the cloud system, Xishi sank into the river and became a fantasy." Among the four versions, the theory of Shen Hai and the theory of seclusion are the most widely circulated, and there are also the most relevant evidence materials. Except for a few people, most people believe these two versions.

the death of Zheng Dan

Zheng Dan and Xi Shi were a pair of beautiful women given by Gou Jian, King of Yue, to Fu Cha, King of Wu. They come from the same village, and they have equal responsibilities in Wu, but Zheng Dan's fate is not as good as Xi Shi's. Even her death remains a mystery. Later generations have many literary associations about Zheng Dan's death. There are three representative ones: according to historical records, Fu Cha, the king of Wu, saw Xi Shi Zheng Dan's great joy, received Xi Shi from Gusutai, and received Zheng Dan from Wu Palace. Later, Zheng Dan "died after years of frustration, and Fu Cha mourned it and was buried in Huangmaoshan". Historians said that Zheng Dan's death was "the pet of Xi Shi". Taiwan Province Bai Yang wrote in his book "The Death of the Queen" that the two beautiful women did not live up to their long-term strict training, and soon after entering the palace, they squeezed out all the other beautiful ladies who were favored by Wu Palace; Eat Mr. Wu Fu Cha to death. However, between the two beauties, Xi Shi and Zheng Dan have the same beauty, the same life background and the same education, so there is nothing different. However, in Mr. Wu Fu Cha's bedroom eyes, there is a difference. Perhaps Ms. Xi Shi's tone is just right for his tone, and he especially loves Xi Shi. In contrast, Ms. Zheng Dan felt lonely. The most sad thing for a beautiful girl was being left out in the cold. After a year, she died of depression. Mr Wu Fu Cha was sad for a while, so he buried her in Huangmaoshan and set up a temple for sacrifice. Alas, Ms. Zheng Dan's fate has caused many questions. Maybe two beautiful women who are both Yan Qin's version of Zheng Dan < P > have an infighting. However, in any case, Ms. Xi Shi's name has been passed down through the ages, while Ms. Zheng Dan is as old as grass and remains unknown ... However, it has been 2,4 years since Ms. Zheng Dan's death, and this is the only sight that has not spread widely. Alas.

the death of Zheng Dan in the novel

1. Shooting with an arrow in disorder killed Zheng Dan in "Sleeping on the Salary and Taste the Gallbladder" starring Chen Daoming. In the script "Taste the Gallbladder", the Vietnamese army captured the State of Wu, the gate of the State of Wu was opened, and Zheng Dan was shot to death by disorderly arrows. According to the script, Zheng Dan should be in tears and die in the pain of struggle. His expression is a bit ferocious. But Chen Daoming said that Zheng Dan should not die like this, and there should not be so many tears on her face. She should die cleanly and tragically. In this way, under the guidance of Chen Daoming, the scene of Zheng Dan's death achieved unexpected results. Zheng Dan winked at him with sadness, and fell into the disorderly arrows, which was thought-provoking. This kind of treatment really kept the beautiful description of beauty and died cleanly, but it was quite different from the historical records of "dying after years". 2. Die of falling into gold Zheng Dan < P > is to swallow a big gold ring into his stomach and commit suicide. In the novel Fan Li, the God of Wealth, Zheng Dan is described as being jealous of Xi Shi. She can't get Fu Cha's favor, but she sleeps with Fu Cha's son in loneliness. It happened that Fu Cha's son was a goat, and one day he touched Xi Shi again, which happened to be seen by Zheng Dan. Originally, I wanted to sue Xi Shi for death, but it was self-defeating. Instead, Fu Cha liked Xi Shi more because of this, fearing that his own affairs would be caught in the news, so he had to die in order to get rid of it. There are two kinds of speculations about suicide here: 1. After threatening to die, Zheng Dan spoke ill of Xi Shi to Fu Cha, thinking that Fu Cha was bound to punish Xi Shi in a rage, and at least she would be snubbed from now on. Only to find that Fu Cha was better for Xi Shi, and she sat at the banquet almost every night, inseparable. And more indifferent to yourself. I haven't seen the King for many days, but once in a while, Fu Cha didn't even look at her, snorted and left of cutting. It seems that because of her admiration for Xi Shi, Fu Cha has held a grudge against her. It's a shame that stealing chickens doesn't make her eat rice. Later, I heard that the king summoned the prince alone, and I was scared day and night, for fear that the prince would confess the adultery between them for several years. In fear, I had to beg for death. 2. After the news that the prince and Xi Shi died of hatred was known by his father, he was scared out of his wits and didn't dare to come to the Guanwa Palace for more than a month. She thinks day and night, can't eat, can't sleep, and she has lost a whole circle. She decided that the prince had abandoned her and threw her away like a whore. Since ancient times, beauty has been unlucky, infatuated woman heart breaker. It seems that no man in this world is a good thing. They just regard women as erotic playthings, where there is no love at all. She felt sorry for herself, Lacrimosa all day long, and finally committed suicide. Whatever the reason, Zheng Dan is dead after all. A stunning beauty with a beautiful life, so fragrant and dead, with bitterness and resentment towards the world, her soul is dead. She died by men, by women, and finally by politics played by men. Zheng Dan's death, which didn't gain a reputation for a lifetime, can't be added as a revolutionary martyr. It is nothing more than adding a vivid example to the "beauty is unlucky". Our guess can only add to her sadness before and after her death. 2. In the novel Dream in the Spring and Autumn Period, Zheng Dan died for Fu Cha. She was a strong-willed woman, full of patriotic feelings, always thinking about Yue, but because Gou Jian, the king of Yue, sent people to assassinate them many times, she fell in love with Fu Cha unconsciously, and finally committed suicide because of Fu Cha's "suspended animation".

Zheng Dan's Tomb

According to "Tai Lake Preparation" and "Xiangshan Xiaozhi" in Wuxian County, Jiangsu Province, Zheng Dan's tomb is located in Huangmaoshan Mountain in Wuxian County. But in the hearts of Zhuji people, Zheng Dan's sweet soul has been rooted in his hometown. Now Cormorant Bay Village has become an important part of Xi Shi's hometown tourism. Here, there are four-eye wells that are more beautiful than Xi Shi, an octagonal double-eaved wing pavilion built by the village elders to commemorate her, the ancient street she set foot on and the ancestral hall of their Zheng family. A clear stream, bypassing the front of Zheng Danting, happily fell into the Huanjiang River. Women in twos and threes patted gavels to wash clothes by the river, and bright colors and leisurely laughter flowed into the water, twinkling. The sweet soul is still there, and the hometown in the Iraqi dream is still beautiful.
