White Scorched Squid is a light seafood dish that is easy to make, tender and perfect for summer. Here's how to do it right:
Materials:
500 grams of fresh squid
1 piece of ginger
2 green onions
3 cloves of garlic
Salt moderate
Soy sauce moderate
Sesame oil moderate
Vinegar moderate
Steps:
1. Blanch the squid in boiling water, cook until the squid turns brown, then fish out and drain;
2. Slice the squid body into thin slices, cut the squid head and neck into round slices, and arrange them on a plate;
3. Chop the ginger, green onion, and garlic into minced pieces, put them in a bowl, add the right amount of salt, soy sauce, sesame oil, and vinegar, and mix them into a sauce;
4. Drizzle the sauce on the squid, and marinate them for 10-15 minutes;
5. Place the marinated squid into a steamer and steam for 5-8 minutes until the squid is cooked through;
6. Remove the squid, drizzle with a layer of hot oil, and enjoy.
Tips:
1. When boiling water, you can add vegetable leaves or ginger slices, which can remove the fishy flavor of the squid;
2. Steam the squid when the fire should be well mastered, do not steam too much, or it will become hard and lose the texture;
3. Drizzle the hot oil, the oil must be warmed through, which will make the squid more tender and smooth.
