Step 1: Mixing the dough
To make cat ears, you need two pieces of dough of different colors.
First, let's melt some brown sugar water to color and sweeten the flour. Prepare 100 grams of plain flour and mix it with brown sugar water. Pour the water while mixing, and stir the flour into a floury consistency before kneading it into a dough. Remember to make the brown sugar dough slightly harder, so that it will be more crispy when fried.
When it's ready, cover it and set it aside to rise for 20 minutes.
Finish a piece of red dough.
Step 2: Mixing
Prepare another 100 grams of plain flour and mix it with 60 milliliters of plain milk. Again add the milk little by little, stirring until there is no dry flour and then get down to kneading the dough smooth.
The two types of dough should be as soft as possible to make it easier to work with. Finally, cover the dough with a small bowl and seal it for 20 minutes to allow the gluten to relax.
Another piece of white dough is completed.
Step 3: Make cat ears
After 20 minutes, first remove the brown sugar dough and roll it out into a round shape. Sprinkle some flour while rolling to prevent sticking. Roll out the dough as thin as possible and set it aside.
Take the milk dough and roll it out to the same size as the brown sugar dough, then fold the two crusts together. Trim the edges a little if there are areas that don't overlap. Once trimmed, start from the bottom and roll up into a long strip. Make sure to roll it firmly and press the opening underneath so it doesn't come loose.
Cut the rolled strips in the center and place them in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
Tip: This step is to freeze the crust together so that it doesn't get loose and misshapen when you slice it.
Step 4: Make raw cat ears
After 1 hour we take the dough out of the freezer and cut it into even slices. Sprinkle with flour after cutting.
Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough one by one, make it thin and firm, one by one, the cat ears are ready, the thinner they are, the more crispy they are.
Step 5: deep frying
Burn oil in a pan, turn the heat down to low when the oil is 5 percent hot, and put the cat ears into the pan in order. The cat's ears will gradually float up when they get hot, so use chopsticks to turn them over often, and then remove them from the pan to control the oil after they are crispy and shaped.
When it cools down, the ears will become crispy. If the children like to eat sesame seeds, you can also and the noodle when the reference inside a little black sesame seeds or all white sesame seeds can be.
