Bad mood is contagious. In psychology, there is a very famous effect called "kicking the cat effect".
A father was criticized by his boss in the company, and when he got home, he scolded the children jumping on the sofa.
The child was so angry that he kicked the cat rolling around.
The cat fled to the street, just as a truck came, and the driver hurried to avoid it, but it hurt the children on the side of the road.
This is a typical vicious circle caused by bad mood infection. Many times, we are most likely to fall into the emotional quagmire.
There is also a theory called Festino's Law. Festinger gives an example in his book:
When Cusdin got up in the morning and washed, she put her high-end watch by the washstand. Her wife was afraid of getting wet, so she took it and put it on the dining table. When my son got up and went to the table to get bread, he accidentally hit the ground and broke his watch.
Cusdin loves watches, so he gave his son a spanking. Then he scolded his wife with a black face. The wife was not convinced, saying that she was afraid that the water would wet her watch. Cusdin says his watch is waterproof.
So they bickered violently. In a fit of pique, Cusdin didn't eat breakfast, so he drove directly to the company. When he arrived at the company, he suddenly remembered that he had forgotten his briefcase and immediately turned home.
But there was no one at home. His wife went to work and his son went to school. Cusdin's key was left in his briefcase. He couldn't get in the door, so he had to call his wife for the key.
When his wife hurried home in a panic, she knocked over the roadside fruit stall. The stall owner held her back and asked her to pay compensation. She had to pay a sum of money to get rid of it. After getting the briefcase, Cusdin was already late 15 minutes, and was severely criticized by her boss. Cusdin was in a bad mood to the extreme. Before leaving work, she quarreled with her colleagues because of a small matter.
The wife was also deducted from the monthly attendance award for leaving early, and the son participated in the baseball game that day. Originally, he was expected to win the championship, but because he was in a bad mood, he was eliminated in the first game.
In this case, the broken watch is 10%, and the other 90% is the following series of things. It is because the parties did not control the 90% well that this day became a "troublesome day".
If Cusdin changed his reaction after that 10% came into being, for example, he comforted his son: "Never mind, son, it's okay if the watch is broken, I'll just take it to repair it," so that his son is happy, his wife is happy, and he is in a good mood, then everything will not happen later.
It can be seen that you can't control the previous10%, but you can completely determine the remaining 90% through your mentality and behavior.
Bad mood, even if it is a thought, is also a single thing to buy.
A good word warms three winters, and a bad word hurts the cold in June. If you let yourself talk quickly and spill your bad feelings on others, you will only leave regrets for yourself.
