Tendons are slightly bitter and cool. Tendon vine branches are slightly fleshy, tender branches are green, striped and pilose, old branches are fat, with brown, membranous and usually hairless epidermis, lenticels are raised, usually 4-lobed, less than 2 or 6-lobed.
