Plain gauze clothing ("dān", often misspelled as "Zen") embroidered in the Western Han Dynasty is the first batch of cultural relics forbidden to go abroad. 1972 unearthed from No.1 Han tomb in Mawangdui, Changsha, and collected in Hunan Provincial Museum.
Clothing length 128 cm, sleeve length 195 cm, cuff width 29 cm, waist width 48 cm and hem width 49 cm.
Plain yarns are woven by square holes and single weft yarns. The thread is extremely thin, light and exquisite, and the holes are even and clear, which reflects the superb skills of craftsmen.
