Pelteobagrus fulvidraco is a small fish of Pelteobagrus of Pelteobagrus family. It has a long body, a flat abdomen, a slightly flat back, a big flat head, small eyes and no scales. Both dorsal fin and pectoral fin have developed hard spines, and pectoral fin is short and bluish yellow. Males are generally larger than females. The spawning period of Pelteobagrus fulvidraco is from May to July every year, and its life span is 5-6 years. It is called "Huang Gu" because its tail is yellow.
