Gradually, Hum and Kiki's self-confidence began to grow.
Gradually, Hum and Kiki's self-confidence begins to grow.
? In the comfort of this life, they are unaware of the changes that are taking place. As time passes, Sniff and Rush repeat their lives day after day.
? Every day, they arrive at the cheese station early, sniff and scratch around to see what's different about the area from the day before. Only when they are sure there is nothing out of the ordinary do they sit down to savor the cheese and enjoy it.
? One morning, when Sniff and Rush arrived at the cheese station, they realized there was no more cheese. They are not surprised.
? Because they had already noticed that something strange was happening at Cheese Station C lately, because the cheese was getting smaller and smaller every day. They were prepared for the inevitable and knew intuitively what to do.
? They looked at each other and, without hesitation, took off their running shoes, which were hanging around their necks, put them on their feet and tied them. The mice did not analyze the situation thoroughly, nor, indeed, did they have brain cells sophisticated enough to support such complex thinking.
? For the mice, the questions and answers were as simple as they come. Things had changed at the cheese station, and so they decided to change with it. They looked deeper into the maze at the same time. Sniff lifted his nose, sniffed, and nodded at Rush, who immediately ran deeper into the maze, followed by Sniff.
They began to move quickly, looking for new cheese elsewhere, without even looking back.
? Later that same day, Hum and Kiki arrive at the cheese station as usual, humming a little tune along the way. They hadn't been aware of the small changes that were happening every day, and had assumed that their cheese was still there.
? They were unprepared for the new situation. "What! There's no cheese?" Hum exclaimed, and then he started yelling over and over again, "No cheese? How can there be no cheese?" As if he could yell loud enough that someone would bring the cheese back.
"Who moved my cheese?" he hissed. He shouted at the top of his lungs.
? Finally, he puts his hands on his hips, his face turns red, and he screams at the top of his lungs, "It's not fair!" Kiki, on the other hand, stood there, shaking his head vigorously, not believing the changes that had taken place here. He was equally unprepared for this, having expected to find cheese here as usual.
He stood there for a long time, unable to move, completely stunned by the surprise.
? Hum was still yelling something frantic, but Kiki didn't want to hear it, he didn't want to face the reality in front of him, he desperately told himself that it was just a nightmare and he just wanted to avoid it.
Their behavior is not good, and it doesn't help, but we can always understand it. It's not easy to find the cheese.
What's more, for these two dwarves, Creamsicle is much more than just something to fill their bellies - it means a life of leisure, honor, social connections, and much more.
For them, finding cheese is the only way to happiness. Depending on their preference, they have their own views on the meaning of cheese.
For some, cheese represents a material enjoyment; for others, it means a healthy life, or a peaceful and rich spiritual world.
For Kiki, cheese means stability, and someday a lovely family living in a cozy villa in a celebrity neighborhood.
For Hum, having cheese would make him a big shot, leading lots and lots of people and having a gorgeous palace on Mount Camembert.
? Because the cheese was so important to them, the two dwarves spent a long time trying to decide what to do. But all they could think to do was to look in the cheese station to see if the cheese really didn't exist anymore.
? While Sniff and Rush were already moving quickly, Hum and Kiki were still humming and hesitating. They scream at the injustice of the world in an agitated manner, cursing the thief who has taken away their cheese with all the evil words they can muster.
? Then Kiki starts to get depressed. What will happen tomorrow without the cheese? His plans for the future are based entirely on the cheese! The two dwarfs just can't accept this.
? How could this have happened? No one had warned them that this was wrong, that this was not the way it was supposed to be, and they just couldn't believe what was happening.
That night, Hum and Kiki return home hungry and frustrated. Before they left, Kiki wrote a message on the wall: The more important the cheese is to you, the more you want to hold on to it.
The next day, after tossing and turning all night, Hum and Kiki left the house early and went back to the cheese station, holding on to a glimmer of hope anyway. They kept lying to themselves, assuming that they had gotten off on the wrong foot yesterday, and they still hoped to get their cheese back. The location of the cheese station has not changed, but the cheese is indeed long gone.
The two dwarfs are at a loss as to what to do.
The two dwarfs are at a loss as to what to do. Hum and Kiki just stood there, motionless, like two lifeless statues. Kiki closed his eyes tightly and covered his ears with his hands, wanting nothing more than to block everything out. He didn't want to believe that the cheese was gradually becoming less and less, he preferred to believe that it was suddenly taken away.
? Hum, on the other hand, analyzed the current situation, and he used his complex brain to turn over all of his tenets. "Why are they doing this?" He couldn't find the answer after all, "What the hell is going on here?"
? Finally, Kiki opened his eyes, looked around and said, "By the way, where are Sniff and Rush now? Do you think they know something we don't know yet?" "Those two retards, what could they possibly know?" Grunt's tone was filled with disdain.
He continued, "They're just simple-minded rats who simply react to what happens. We are clever dwarves, we have more brains than mice. We should be able to figure out what's going on here."
? "
? "I know we're smarter," says Kiki, "but we don't seem to be acting very smart right now. Things have changed around us, hum, so maybe we need to make some changes, to do something different."
? "Why do we need to change?" Hum asked, "We're dwarves, we're different. Things like this shouldn't happen to us. Even if it did happen, we should at least get some compensation from it."
? "Why should we get some compensation?" Kiki asked. "Because we have the power to do so." Humbug declared. "With what kind of power?" Kiki didn't understand. "The power to have our cheese." "Why?" Kiki still didn't understand.
? "Because we didn't cause this problem," Hum said, "some people with ulterior motives created this situation, not us, so I insist that we should always get some compensation out of it." "Perhaps we should stop this useless analysis," Kiki suggested, "and analyze the problem here. We should get going and find new cheese before we starve to death." "Oh, no!" Humbug objected, "I'm so close to finding the source of the problem, knowing that we used to have so much, so much good cheese!"
? While Hum and Kiki are still arguing and trying to decide what to do, Sniff and Rush are already well on their way to doing their thing.
? They went deeper into the maze, walking down corridor after corridor, carefully searching for cheese at every cheese station they came across. They didn't think about anything other than looking for new cheese as hard as they could.
For a while, they searched hard and found nothing.
Until they came to a place in the labyrinth they had never been before: the Cheese Station.
They squealed with delight as they finally found what they had been looking for: tons of fresh cheese. They couldn't believe their eyes, it was the biggest cheese warehouse they had ever seen.
? Meanwhile, Humbug and Kiki remain at the cheese station, wondering about their current situation. They are suffering from the pain of losing the cheese. Frustration, hunger and the resulting anger surround them, tormenting them, and they even blame each other for their immediate predicament.
Kiki still thinks of his mouse friends and wonders if they have found the cheese by now.
He believes that they may be having a hard time.
Kiki still thinks about his mouse friends and wonders if they have found the cheese now. But he also knows that everything has to have a rough patch.
Kiki is a very good friend of the labyrinth. Sometimes, Kiki imagined that Sniff and Hurry had found the cheeses and were enjoying them. Suddenly, he has the urge to venture into the maze to find new cheeses.
? How wonderful it would be to explore the labyrinth, find new cheeses, and enjoy them! He felt as if he had already tasted the fresh cheese.
? Looking for and enjoying the new cheese, this scenario became clearer and clearer in Kiki's mind. He felt more and more inclined to leave the cheese station and set off in search of new cheese.
? Suddenly, he announced loudly, "Let's go!" "No!" Hum quickly responded: "I like it here. It's the only place I'm familiar with, and it's nice and cozy. Besides, it's dangerous to leave here and go outside."
? "No," said Kiki, "we've been to many places in this labyrinth before, and we can find others."
"I think I'm getting a little too old for this running around and adventuring." Hum said, "Besides, I don't want to look like a fool and get lost from time to time. What do you think?" The fear of failure came back to Kiki's mind as he listened to him, and his hopes of discovering a new cheese faded.
? And so, the two dwarves continued to do what they had done every day before. They still went to the cheese station every day, realized they couldn't find any cheese, and returned home with a sense of worry and frustration.
They tried to deny what was happening, began to lose sleep, lost strength, and became more and more irritable.
