Strawberry tea is produced in different places, among which Zhangjiajie and Enshi in Hunan are the most famous. Zhangjiajie strawberry tea is a specialty of Hunan Province, mainly produced in Yongding County, Wulingyuan County and Cili County of Zhangjiajie City. Enshi strawberry tea is mainly produced in Enshi City, Lichuan City, Jianshi County and Badong County within the jurisdiction of Enshi Prefecture. These producing areas have unique geographical environment, suitable climate and fertile soil, and have the natural conditions to produce high-quality strawberry tea.
Among these producing areas, Enshi Autonomous Prefecture is the main producing area, with large output and excellent quality of strawberry tea. In particular, Panyun Village, Bijiashan and Mashan, which are at the junction of Enshi City and Lichuan City, are especially suitable for the growth of strawberry tea because of their high geographical location, suitable climate, misty clouds and abundant sunshine, so the strawberry tea here is also the most authentic.
Tips for purchasing strawberry tea
1, depending on the form of dry tea
Strawberry tea is different from traditional tea. The main purpose of drinking strawberry tea is to drink its flavonoids for health, but the flavonoids in strawberry tea are generally concentrated in the parts where buds grow vigorously, and the flavonoids content in buds can even reach more than three times that of adult leaves.
Therefore, when purchasing strawberry tea, we should choose tender strawberry tea with long beak and bud tip (bud tip tea is usually sold out at the end of April and early May, so we won't discuss it here), and the best way to coordinate the flavonoid content with the taste and tea shape is that the bud tip is about 3-5 cm long, followed by 5-8 cm, and finally 8- 10 cm.
2. Look at the color of dry tea
The frost on the surface of strawberry tea is not moldy, and no other chemicals are added, but the frost formed by the crystallization of flavonoids in strawberry tea. The color of flavonoids is not snow white, but gray, silvery white, or a little yellowish gray white.
