According to a Youku video query, "Bread King Kim Joo-gu" is a long-running inspirational spoon-drama produced by South Korea's KBS and starring Yoon Shi Yoon, Lee Young-ah, Yoo-jin, and Joo-won.
Set in Seoul in the 1970s, it tells the story of the protagonist Kim Joo-gu, who grows up from a poor boy with nothing to become the No. 1 in the Korean bread industry.
The drama started airing in South Korea and has been enjoying high ratings, with the finale aired on the night of September 24, 2010, hitting a nationwide rating of 50.8 percent.
It also won many awards, including the Grand Prize-President's Citation from the Broadcast Imaging Group; the Outstanding Actor Award in the Long Drama Department for Yoon Shi Yoon; the Outstanding Actress Award in the Long Drama Department for Yoo Jin; and the Money Shin Wo Award for the Most Outstanding Acting.
