Customs of Yiyang
The five-course tea is served with five different kinds of tea broths, which contain different connotations to entertain the honored guests at the door. The first tea is a boiling water tea, which is meant to be a welcome drink for the guest. The second tea is a sweet egg tea, made with lychee, cinnamon and eggs, which is meant to welcome the guest. The third tea is served with local specialties and tea, which is meant to let the guests savor the taste of the countryside. The fourth tea is noodle tea, to promote friendship with the guest. The last tea is ginger and salt tea, which means that the guest will be relieved of the grease of the previous tea and have a smooth journey. Eggs with capers, every year on the third day of the third month of the lunar calendar, the local people will use capers to cook eggs, and then add brown sugar to eat, it is said that this can nourish the body. Lei tea locals will play all year round ring tea can entertain guests, but also can be their own to drink.
