Botanical form perennial herb, up to 60cm high, with a short rhizome, erect stem, smooth and glabrous. The leaves are palmately compound, long-stalked, 3-4 in whorls at the top of the stem, and the leaflets are 3-7, elliptic or oblong-obovate, with serrulate margins. Umbels terminal, peduncle from the center of the stem apex, 20-30 cm long. flowers small, yellowish-green, calyx 5-lobed, petals, stamens are 5, drupe berry-shaped, subreniform, red when ripe. Seeds 1-3, oblate. Flowering June to August, fruiting August to October. Now mostly cultivated in the mountains at an altitude of 1600-1800m. The main place of origin is Wenshan, Yunnan. Taste and odor: warm, sweet, slightly bitter. It can be used as medicine, Tianqi can be used as medicine. When wild Panax ginseng was not transplanted at the earliest, it was grown in the area of Guangxi, and Tianzhou of Guangxi was named because of the collection and distribution place. Historically, Tianzhou, Guangxi Province used to be the distribution center of Panax pseudoginseng, so it is also called "Tian (tián) Qi (qī)".
