Changsha College has not been renamed Changsha University.

In December 2022 the two offices of Changsha City have issued a relevant document proposing to support the renaming of Changsha College to Changsha University, to support Changsha College to gradually make up for the shortfall in the area of teaching and administrative space per student against the requirements of the Ministry of Education's relevant indexes for renaming a university and to apply to the Ministry of Education to change the name of Changsha University by 2025.

Changsha College is known as Changsha University.

Changsha College, referred to as Growing Up, is a full-time ordinary higher undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China*** and the State, implementing the system of provincial and municipal*** construction*** management, with Changsha City as the main management, belonging to the double first-class, high-level applied characteristic colleges in Hunan Province, selected for the first batch of the Ministry of Education's new engineering research and practice projects.

Hunan Province 2011 program, is the national 13th Five-Year Applied Undergraduate Industry-Teaching Integration Development Project planning colleges and universities, the national practice of college and university innovation and entrepreneurship base, CDIO engineering education alliance member units. As of June 2023, the school campus covers an area of more than 1,970 acres, with a building area of about 430,000 square meters.

The application process of Changsha College includes checking the enrollment information, applying online, paying the application fee, preparing the application materials, and submitting the application materials

1. Checking the enrollment information: visit the official website or the enrollment office webpage of Changsha College, and carefully check the relevant enrollment information, including the school profile, major settings, and the time of application,

2. Online enrollment: According to the specified time, enroll online in the online enrollment system. Fill in basic personal information, including name, ID number, contact information.

3. Payment of enrollment fee: Pay the appropriate enrollment fee according to the regulations. Please refer to the relevant notice on the webpage of the enrollment office for the specific amount and payment method.

4. Prepare enrollment materials: Prepare the relevant enrollment materials according to the requirements, such as copies of ID cards/passports, academic certificates, transcripts, family registers, photographs and so on.

5. Submit application materials: Submit the application materials to the admissions office of Changsha College according to the requirements. You can choose to mail them or submit them in person.
