1, variety selection
The varieties of Allium tuberosum, Allium tuberosum 1, 4, 6, 10, Allium tuberosum 1, Longyan No.6 are recommended.
2, timely sowing
It is more suitable to sow in late March to late June. Sowing method: after soil preparation and fertilization, ditch with a depth of 20 cm, an upper width of10-0/3 cm, a lower width of 6-9 cm and a ditch spacing of 60 cm. One side of the ditch wall is required to be vertical, and the other side is slightly inclined. Sow seeds evenly on the vertical edge of the ditch after the irrigation water permeates, and tread lightly once to cover the soil 1-2 cm.
3, cultivating leek roots
After sowing in early spring, when the seedlings grow to three leaves and one heart, start transplanting. Before transplanting, straighten the ground and make 200 kilograms of soybean cakes for each acre. Transplanting row spacing is generally 20 cm, plant spacing is 5 cm, after transplanting, water it once, and hoe it at the right time.
4, buckle shed
Generally, the east-west border should be 15-20m in length and 1.5m in width, with 10 fine steel bars as supports, each with a length of 2.4m, bent into a circular arch on the leek border, with both ends inserted into the ground about 20cm, one at intervals of 50cm, and the vault away from the border.
Shading boards are inserted at both ends of the border to keep out the wind and shade. In addition, in order to adjust the temperature, the length and width of grass cover should be 2.5×1m.
5. Growth period management
Before the shed is covered, 500 kilograms of ground and sieved oil residue and 20 kilograms of compound fertilizer are applied per mu, and the prepared fertilizer is evenly spread in the furrows between rows. After the tent is buckled, leek grows in a state of avoiding light, but attention should also be paid to ventilation. Except for not uncovering the grass felt for 2-3 days, the grass felt should be uncovered every morning and covered again at night.
When watering leek, it should be done in the morning to noon when the leaves of leek have no dew and wilted slightly. The watering amount should not be too large each time, so as not to cause the leaves of leek to rot due to too much water. Water it once every 5-6 days.
6. Harvest
Leek usually needs to be cultivated for about 20 days, and can be harvested when it grows to more than 35 cm and the top begins to wither. When harvesting, first remove the straw curtain, hold the leek leaves to one side, then pull the soil open to expose the leek roots, and harvest them flat 1.5 cm from the ground.
