The steps to make sugar osmanthus from dried hanging flowers are as follows:
Pick the dried osmanthus clean. (Especially from market vendors, pick it, sieve it if possible, but don't rinse it with water, so the osmanthus won't smell good)
Mix the sugar and dried hanging flowers in the ratio of 1:1 by weight. Find a large plate and plate it (spread it out as much as possible). If you are using brown sugar or maltose, which is not good to mix well, just put it in directly.
Special note: After mixing, you can add a little lemon juice (or a pinch of salt) to enhance the flavor.
When the water in the pot comes to a boil, add the dried flowers that have been mixed. Steam on low heat for 3-5 minutes, then uncover the pot and mix in the sugar and cinnamon. Cover the pot and continue steaming for 7-8 minutes. (Note: The glass jars used for storage can be washed and steamed together to sterilize them.)
After steaming, take it out and let it cool, then put it into the glass jars used for storage, and put it into 8 minutes full. Sealed 10 days later you can taste the production of good sugar hanging flowers.
