Natto is a food made of fermented soybeans eaten in Japan. Bacillus natto is fermented by soybean bacteria. Bacillus natto is called nattokinase. Soybean products contain various enzymes, however, natto is the only enzyme of nattokinase.
nattokinase (NK) is a protein kinase of Bacillus subtilis, which is a serine protease produced by Bacillus natto during natto fermentation. It has the functions of dissolving thrombus, reducing blood viscosity, improving blood circulation, softening and increasing blood vessel elasticity.
