Zigong Salt Industry History Museum

Next to the lively square with singing and dancing, a double-eaved gate with shining black gold silenced the lion. As the Xiqin Hall built by Shaanxi salt merchants in the Qing Dynasty, it became the new residence of the Salt Industry History Museum in 1959. It is also worth a visit for its magnificent ancient buildings and rich salt knowledge. As a professional museum, there are intimate two-dimensional code commentary and interesting popular science experience. The seemingly boring theme exhibitions of "Well Salt Science and Technology History" and "Zigong Salt Tax History" reproduce the scenes of well salt production in Han Dynasty and natural gas exploitation and salt production in Qing Dynasty by means of "hands-on props+models", making the unfamiliar principles easy to understand.
A relatively complete set of ancient drilling tools has also been collected here, and cultural relics with high research value, such as well stove management contracts, rock mouth books and account books, have been preserved from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. In the museum, the cloister of Sanjin Courtyard is used as the exhibition hall, and strolling through it can not only admire Zigong's proud salt industry history, but also enjoy the interest of courtyard antique garden. The nearest bus stop to the museum is Shawan Station. After getting off, follow the road signs and walk for 5 minutes.
Local knowledge "Gong Fan" like silk but not silk
The local people say that Zigong Xiaosan is a gong fan, paper-cutting and tie-dyeing, and Gong fan is the most famous. This craft, which originated in Tongzhi year of Qing Dynasty, is a pair of hands and a knife, all woven by hand. The fan of a handful of bamboo silk is as bright as silk, and it has the toughness as if it can be broken by blowing bombs. Landscape flowers and birds or cursive calligraphy are sketched on it, looming and extremely elegant. Gong Fan has been passed down for 130 years, and has been inherited by the fifth generation. Due to the extremely high technical requirements, it did not enter the market for mass production. If you are interested in this craft, the handicraft shop (8: 30 ~17: 30) next to the gate of the Salt History Museum is the only one, and the price of a round fan is 8800 ~13,000 yuan.

Explore the surrounding ancient town of Xianshi
The ancient town of Xianshi is indeed as its name implies. There is a tile-like gray brick on the banks of Fuxi River, in which the eaves of the temples in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties fly. Here, as the only place where salt from Gongjing went out of Sichuan, it flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Although lonely now, the well-preserved four streets, four gates, five temples, three piers and ancient buildings in Ming and Qing dynasties are also quite rare in ancient towns in southeast Sichuan.
The ancient town does not accept tickets, and the streets stop and go at will, and the tour can be completed in an hour. The women in the main street are picking iron pots at the grocery store, and the boss smoking a pipe is sitting in front of the fishing gear shop not far away. Follow the path and then turn into half street, and walk into the Buddhist temple with red walls and tiles and carved beams and painted buildings. There are many Buddha statues in the palaces such as the Heavenly Palace and the Nanhua Palace left in the late Qing Dynasty, which are filled with incense all the year round. Exquisite wood carvings and stone carvings allow cats and dogs to play on them. Passing through the plaque of "Jinqiao Temple" inscribed by Zhao Puchu, you can walk to the ancient tea-horse road along the stream, with faint slate under the tree and salt wharf ruins in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties on the river bank.
Looking for the wealth of salt merchants, the houses with high walls and upturned eaves, the stately purlin and the European-style stone pillars in Chenjiaci can feel the glory of salt gangs during the Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty. The location of the town health center can overlook the whole town and is rated as one of the best photography spots. Fushun
The gourmet economy is in power, and "Fushun Douhua" is the main reason for many people to travel 30 kilometers from Zigong to the southeast. However, if you have spare time, there are many ancient houses in the back street on the west bank of Tuojiang River, Fushun Confucian Temple (Confucian Temple Main Street 153; Tickets to 40 yuan; 9: 00 ~17: 00) is a rare well-preserved Song Dynasty building in China, and its architecture with dragons, dragons and lions is a must. The Confucian Temple surrounded by the red wall is located in a busy old street. Walking into the wall, the simple and gorgeous Champion Bridge and Lingxingmen first gave Confucianism a solemn shock.
Continue to climb along the central axis of Sanjin Courtyard. The clay sculptures, wood carvings, stone carvings, flowers, dragons, phoenixes and animals in the temple must be carefully tasted. The most talked-about "naked boy" pottery statue in Ming Dynasty is in the tower-shaped tripod at the top of the shrine, wearing only a Chinese-style chest covering, but experts have not yet given a conclusion on its origin. Behind the shrine is the Jingyi Pavilion, in which there is a full-body sitting statue of Confucius painted by Wu Daozi in the Tang Dynasty and engraved on a stone tablet. Unfortunately, it is seriously damaged. On the north side of the Confucian Temple is the West Lake, which was dredged into a lake in the Song Dynasty. The newly built pavilions and waterside pavilions have become a gathering place for local singers. In summer, the lotus flowers in the lake are in full bloom, which has its own ancient meaning. There are thousands of Buddhist temples on the hillside on the west side of the lake (tickets for 3 yuan; 8: 00 ~17: 00), the temple with cornices and red walls was built in the Tang Dynasty, and now it is also renovated and full of incense.
The reputation spread far and wide, making Fushun "tofu pudding everywhere". White, tender and smooth beancurd, with a bowl of dip made of pepper, watercress, soybean oil and various spice powders, plus a bowl of refreshing and sweet beancurd pit water, these three are called "one set". Li Er Tofu pudding is the most famous local tofu pudding shop. Yusan Tofu Rice on the west side of the Confucian Temple and Fanwudou Flower Shop near the turntable at the foot of Qianfo Temple are highly recommended by the neighborhood.
