The grafting time of loquat trees should be from February to April in spring and from September to November in autumn. The grafting method is as follows:
1-2 days before grafting, the rootstock is cut off by 15-2 cm, and 3-5 compound leaves are kept, or the water-drawing branches are kept, which can reduce the moisture of the rootstock, improve the nutrient concentration and healing hormone concentration of the rootstock, reduce the moisture in the membrane after binding and improve the survival rate. If the rootstock is left too short, it is not convenient for grafting, which affects the grafting speed and survival rate.
Select sunny days for scions, and use the flat side as a long cutting surface. First, cut a knife at a 45-degree angle on the back of the scion, and then turn it over and cut it flat, with a length of 1.5-2 cm, depending on the degree just cut to the xylem. Each scion has 1-2 buds, which are cut at the top of .3 cm.
Select a smooth side of the rootstock, cut off a small piece obliquely with a knife, and then cut down between the phloem and xylem into a section with the size similar to that of the long cut surface of the scion, so as to slightly cut off part of the xylem. Finally, the long cut surface of the scion is aligned with the cambium of the rootstock section, mixed with red mud and dichlorvos and coated on the film to improve the survival rate.
Precautions:
1. Scissors and saws are sharp. Be careful not to hurt yourself when operating.
2. The wound cut with scissors and the wound sawed with a saw should be made flat, not irregular, and the incision must have some inclination.
