Why do I choose to continue to believe in Bitcoin?
One person's death is just another grave for the world, but for those who live alone, the whole world is buried in the grave. This is a monologue that has experienced the baptism of policy.

Our world is extreme, people and things, even ideology, are always inadvertently divided into different categories. Some people think that all people who advocate Bitcoin are liberals and think that these people have no sense of belonging and collectivity, but is this the case? I admit that I am a true democrat, and I quite agree with the separation of powers system in the west. I think that Obama's coming to power is a great leap forward in democratic politics, and I also hate the tyranny of Kingsoft Fat. After reading Currency War, I realized that the role of the Federal Reserve should not be underestimated. On the surface, the problem of American economy is inflation, but in fact, this modern financial system is full of holes. The real reason can be more than these. These inside stories are incomprehensible.

I started to pay attention to Bitcoin about five years ago. I accidentally saw an article on Bitcoin on the Internet, which was quite fresh. Like everyone else, I initially thought that Bitcoin was a bubble or a scam, or a currency that could preserve its value (Internet gold). It took me more than four years to digest. One day, I suddenly realized that Bitcoin is actually a new network protocol. It aims to solve the problem of trust between people and make information valuable. On the basis of it, you can reconstruct the whole financial system and return to the value of the Internet.

Many early bitcoin players were geeks, but don't forget that almost every key progress in computer history was promoted by these geeks in the early days. The appearance of the first personal computer was closely related to the counterculture movement in the 1960s. The original promoters of the open source software movement are players who believe that software should be open to everyone for free. Early promoters of collaborative systems such as blogs and Wikipedia hope to decentralize the generation and distribution of information. This is no coincidence. Large-scale technological changes depend on early participants who did not do things for money, because business players usually lag behind for several years before joining this wave. Bitcoin has entered this era of commercial manipulation.

A few years ago, I wrote an article about the financial crisis in 2008. I think the government did what it should have done, but missed a great opportunity to reform the financial system. If the scientific and technological community wants to reshape the financial industry, it is impossible to establish new services by relying on existing financial service companies. Doing so is like building a service on Tencent or Baidu's own platform while thinking about subverting Baidu, Tencent and Ali. If you want to subvert, you have to bypass the existing big companies.

However, the most exciting (and uncertain) thing about Bitcoin and Ethereum is the new company and new technology model that may be based on "programmable assets". For example, micropayment, the first large-scale micropayment experiment, is to buy in the application of iOS and Android platforms. Although there are many design defects (such as central control and 30% charging), this experiment is still very successful. I think bitcoin will lead to a micropayment system suitable for open network, thus providing many important services (such as journalism) in a business model other than banner advertising. It is likely to become the key to subvert future finance and the darling of the times.

How is the world economy now? Unless you have the ability to change it, I dare not say that Bitcoin or any new technology can save the economy or the world. However, technological innovation will inevitably bring about a great leap and even subversion in the world. We use products created by the technology industry to promote new services and eliminate existing services. I think that if the scientific and technological circles want to change the financial field, they need to bypass the existing financial giants and create new services. Bitcoin has a good chance to change the financial system of the whole world. There are still many problems to be solved, but this is an experiment worth trying.

Therefore, our country should have an open mind when dealing with such problems. Think about it. After more than 30 years of reform and opening up, Bitcoin is still worth taking risks.

Finally, as the founder of Chain Finance and the writer of blockchain industry, everyone is welcome to participate, contribute their own understanding of blockchain and code it for future generations to think about. In fact, everyone can be a writer.
