Pilose antler is the young horn of a stag, without ossification and dense fluff. Mainly collected from the heads of sika deer and red deer. The former is called velvet antler and yellow hair velvet, and the latter is called green hair velvet.
When a stag reaches a certain age, he will have horns on his head, and when he first appears, he will be as tender as a mushroom after rain. The tender horn with a layer of fine hair on the surface is velvet antler. The tender horns grow up and age into antlers, and the fluff will fall off. When the tender horn of a stag does not grow into a hard bone, it is hairy and contains blood, which is called velvet antler.
