〖Medicinal and Ingredients〗

The dried vine stem of Spatholobus suberectus Dunn. Mainly produced in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, and other places. It can be harvested throughout the year. Remove the branches and leaves, slice, and dry in the sun. Or boiled with paste. Fragrant flowers rock bean vine contains sennosol, iron, soy sterol and β-sitosterol.

〖Pharmacological effects〗

Bitter, slightly sweet, warm. Attributed to liver meridian. Chickweed vine is bitter, warm, sweet and tonic, so it can not only activate blood, but also can tonify blood, and it is superior to activate blood. It has the characteristics of activating blood without hurting new blood and tonifying blood without leaving blood stasis. For gynecological menstrual disorders, dysmenorrhea, menstrual closure, regardless of blood deficiency, blood stasis are appropriate, blood deficiency and stagnation of blood is particularly suitable. It can also relax the tendons and activate the collaterals, and can be used to treat rheumatic paralysis, numbness of the hands and feet. 1. Dispel wind-dampness, relax tendons and collaterals It can be used to treat rheumatism-induced pain in lumbar and knee joints, rheumatism paralysis, and numbness of limbs. Because this product can also tonify and invigorate blood, so the paralytic pain caused by blood deficiency and blood stasis can also be treated with this treatment. It can be used for menstrual disorders, menstrual closure, dysmenorrhea, often used together with Xiang Fu, Yi Bu Cao.

〖Clinical application〗

1. Treatment of leukopenia caused by radiotherapy: 30g of chicken blood vine, 15g of Astragalus, 5 jujube. Decocted with water. (New Handbook of Traditional Chinese Medicine, p. 193) 2. 〖Contraindications to use〗
